This article does a great job of putting down the nonsense about Angel rebounding her own misses, her FG% has ticked upward each month of the season so far. She's getting better at finishing through contact.

Rebounding, at the end of the day, is an effort stat. There are players bigger and stronger than Angel that aren't corraling in boards like she does.

She just works a lot harder and actually seals people off. There's a reason why the name Rodman keeps coming up when she gets talked about, she has that same relentlessness and never takes possessions off.

Most entertaining player in the sport right now.

Her hitting jumpers is one thing but man those drop step moves are crazy good. And she is overwhelming defenders on her way to the rim.

She is a flat out beast.

To me, it's not stat padding, and it's not an "accusation" that needs a defense because it's irrelevant. It doesn't matter whose miss you rebound. A missed shot is a missed shot regardless of who misses it, and an offensive rebound is an extra possession regardless of who missed the shot.

I mean, Angel's field goal percentage is bad, especially with her shot profile (.418 FG%/.422 eFG%/.495 TS%). That just a fact. But it doesn't diminish her rebounding ability.

Moses Malone was celebrated in his time for grabbing his own misses. Supposedly he improvised the voiceover monologue for one of my favorite commercials:

"At the age of fourteen I discovered the secret: Pick the one thing you do best and work at it.
So while every other kid were trying to be the next Iceman, I were hittin' the boards.
Because I figure: If you ain't got the ball, you can't shoot the ball."

Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

her fg% is bad, but if you factor in the fact that she cleans up a lot of her misses, her "true" fg% really isn't that bad.

i think it's a little disingenuous though for the author to suggest that NBA players don't get clowned for rebounding their own misses because though i haven't seen jokic get much for it, i've definitely seen the drummond slander. she's a rookie though and people should let her breathe a little and she's already gotten better in the paint as the season has went on.

though, if she was doing this in like year 6 or 7 then yeah, but she's a rookie and she's contributing in a big way to the success of her team. she's doing great

Watch the majority of Reese rebounds. They in traffic. She is usually surround by 2-3 players on a lot of them. She simply out hustles players to get them. She can easily not get her misses. How many basketball players in general rebound their own misses at Angels rate.

Her hustle game is elite. Angel has one of the strongest wills to achieve I seen in recent sport memory.

She is the definition of dog.

I won’t even read an article saying she stat padding.

I already know it’s a BS take from the rip if you saying that.

Well I stand corrected on the article. it’s against people trying to imply that. I misread the comments in response to it.Well my point still stand for anyone saying that in general.

Good game between the Sun and Liberty at the half

It's every time though, they get close but then can't seal the deal.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.
