Eason to Philly
Sixers need a reasonably priced PF. Rockets need picks to swing to trade for a star and have a logjam at the 4.
Sixers get Eason
Rockets get KJ Martin, '26 OKC 1st, '28 LAC 1st, '29 LAC 1st Swap

No reason for HOU to consider this.

Re: Eason to Philly
I doubt Eason is dealt. The value offered is nice but I think it would take a bit more. his defensive effect is tremendous.
Looking at the Trade Exceptions Philly has (I assume they can still use them?) - he is probably the best Philly could hope for.
Kispert might be a cheaper option. LAC first for Kispert?

others that fit in tpe:
Davion Mitchell
Jarace Walker
Jevon Carter
Sochan
Trae Murphy - If NO would deal, he would be sweet for PHI.

Re: Eason to Philly
This could be a legitimate offer if there was a star trade actively happening and the team wants fresh picks vs Eason with only half the rookie scale left but otherwise Houston is still evaluating these young guys and not trading them for pick value at this time

You lose trade exceptions when you use cap spaceXman wrote:I doubt Eason is dealt. The value offered is nice but I think it would take a bit more. his defensive effect is tremendous.

What logjam is there at PF for Houston? There's Jabari, Tari, and Jeff.

I think value is actually somewhat reasonable, but if I am Houston I would rather see how all the kids play together.

2 first and a swap (with what protections? That’s important) is definitely reason to consider. I’m not sure if we’d take it direction wise but this feels very well compensated value wise.

Is Brooks a SF or PF for you guys?

Dillon Brooks? 6'5" Dillon Brooks? He's barely a SF despite starting at that position. He's ideally a SG on most teams.

I guess I always thought he was taller than that, and the second poster above offered him as an available PF instead of Eason. Just got confused. Thanks.

If HOU is looking to compete, wouldn’t they prefer to keep Eason? Those picks are years out and might not be worth much.

No, I just view Eason as a SF.

Re: Eason to Philly
I’m sure I’m missing something here, but why exactly is this Eason fellow worth more than 3 1st round picks?
I’m sure he’s a good player and the Houston faithful value him highly, but he’s not an all star (nor do I see him on the cusp of becoming one).
So if he’s worth 3 1sts then actual stars like Markennen must be worth 6. (Though the offers for him are actually around 3 1sts.)

Maybe. I heard a rumor they want to make a trade for star (e.g. KD). Not sure if true or not.JRoy wrote:ThatBoyNick wrote:JRoy wrote:No reason for HOU to consider this.

That is more interesting than this.

Re: Eason to Philly
That’s a hell of an offer for Tari, those LAC picks could be really juicy. I would definitely take that if I’m Houston given that you have an entrenched starter at the 4 in Jabari, and they can’t pay everyone anyways so this is a way to extract a ton of value out of one of their young players. I think Eason can be (already is) a really valuable role player but I don’t see the star upside that would have the Rockets really kicking themselves for letting him go. If I’m Philly this seems a little rich and I’m not sure I would blow my asset load on Tari, but he is a good fit and could grow with the team
