He’s was an absolute nightmare in the western conference finals. Hadn’t hit a 3 all series was trying step backs and pulling up behind screens. Normally I don’t care about shot selection of players not on the Knicks but he had me yelling at the tv

Just want to say I called out the KAT idea after we let go Hartenstein and probably why we haven’t gone after any center replacements. KAT will become our Center with OG and Bridges on the wings. Randle and Mitch will be traded for KAT. We’re building a team to match Boston offensively and defensively (on the wings)

If the Knicks acquired KAT + Richards and traded out Randle + Mitch + Achiuwa (S&T at $6.5M) then they'd take in $4.4M. That can't happen.

I don't think a double S&T w/Precious + Jeffries is possible lol

Overpaying Precious would be ideal for NY, but are the Hornets absorbing $20M with him and Mitch? Skeptical.

Sending Deuce to Minnesota in the previously described deal would save the Knicks ($262K) and the Wolves ($15.5M). So it'd work.

I am not saying do the deal. On the contrary I wouldn't. But while the salary is tough this year. Towns is locked up under team control and an over the cap team that matters. If Randle doesn't sign an extension this summer then he becomes a free agent next year (he would opt out). And then we are at the mercy of the market.

The knicks can't lose Randle for nothing so they have to know what he wants contract wise and we are comfortable paying that.

S&T has to be 3 years of length. And I don't think we can offer Precious that large of a contract. I think we are like sub 16 MM under the 2nd apron so we wouldn't be able to offer that.

3 way deal with NO might work.
Mitch to NO and Randle & Herb Jones + filler to Min.

Mitch / Randle / OG / Mikal / Brunson
vs.
KAT / OG / Mikal / Divo / Brunson

Top team is better than the bottom team. If we have to give up Randle and Mitch then it’s not worth it.

We either trade for an upgrade at the 4 to replace Randle which is basically only giannis at this point. Or we try to move Mitch and deuce for an upgrade at the 5

It won’t be as simple as it is now with plug and play and keep going with a proven formula for success. And then I see up a trade up there giving away Randle, Mitch, AND, deuce? That’s insanity.
