With Tor electing not to resign Trent, maybe they’d be open to bringing on Herro to replace him

Example doesn’t work because Bam is no way Tatem’s equivalent.
Every GM would build a team around Tatem. The same is not true of Bam.
In a post Jimmy era, unless someone else develops or the team acquires a star, Bam would get recasted from a #2ish/ #3 to the role of “the man.”
I’d like to explore the idea of which reality is better: Bam as the 1A franchise player or trading him for a trove of picks
Maybe them winning the most recent championship has inflated your viewbof Tatum. Tbh, if I'm starting my own team, idk who I'd pick first if those two are the top players available to me. Bam is the cornerstone of our franchise (for now). It doesn't mean he's 1a. Just a cornerstone to build around. I feel Tatum's talants are easier to replace than Bam's. Not saying who's better. Just from a building a roster standpoint
I’m not a Tatum guy what so ever.
I acknowledge though that he’s objectively regarded around the league as player good enough to build around.
I’d welcome to see poll results of GMs voting on which players they’d prefer to build a team around and where Tatum and Bam would rank on that list.
I suspect Tatum would be somewhere in the top 10 maybe even top 5.
I wouldnt bet that Bam makes the top 20
Ha, the exact reason why most GMs fail

I think UD said something about him going back to being a 6th man on ESPN, and it sounds like Tyler didn't take kindly to it.

I know UD had said that but I didn’t know that Herro had responded publicly or it was something big enough for Stephen A to know there was a beef. It seems like a bad idea to be immature and beef with UD.

run it back. because this team was so close to winning a championship last season, that a healthy terry rozier and jimmy would have meant banner #4
Best best case scenario time if you want to be a negative Nelly -
-Healthy Terry and Jimmy
-Bam enters his prime post-Team USA and becomes a top 10 player
-Come to Jesus meeting with Herro and he locks in and has a 23-25 ppg year
-Jaime and Jovic both take another step forward. Jaime looked at as 6MOY candidate and formidable starter in games Jimmy misses
- Duncan, in a contract year (essentially), continues his play from last year
-Larsson and Keshad are older rookies and play serviceable end of bench roles
-Burks buys into culture as bench spark
-Ware has a couple big games
At the end of the day I’d take Bam over any player on the Knicks
More chance seeing Jesus than Herro becoming a reliable 25ppg scorer imo. Unless he's taking 35 shots to get there
Alright I love hating on Herro just as much as anyone and want us to trade him but he’s 24 years old and has scored 20 ppg the last 3 seasons. It’s not completely unreasonable to see his best case scenario get to 25 if he gets his head on straight.
Hes going to have a lot of nights, in this scenario, as the teams leading scorer.

Not only Dick they drafted JaKobe Walter too. Yet another team that will pass on Herro.

MettaWorldPanda wrote:We should be trying to work out a S&T for Tyus. He would be a huge upgrade at the backup PG spot and is a better long term fit over Rozier. We can deal Rozier next year when he’s an expiring contract. Tyus and Butler are also friends. Our bigs would flourish with Tyus at the point.
They should have traded for Tyus instead of Rozier he's a far more impactful player that would have made others better, it's a bit overkill having him and Rozier/Herro.

Collins and Clarkson for Duncan and Herro. Saves us 8 million. Utah gets younger version of Clarkson in Herro.

Jaquez / Richardson / Larsson
Butler / Burks / Johnson
Jovic / Collins / Love
Adebayo / Ware / Bryant

Re: Miami Heat Offseason Thread Vol. 4: Fraudfather Snoozin 2.0
SAS was on the OG poddy and they talked about it. The quote is a little misleading, no one was throwing shade at Herro both guys said they love Herro but SAS put out a challenge to Herro to step up and be that guy like everybody thinks he can be if he's tired of hearing his name attached to trades essentially.
Herro apparently got a bit butthurt hearing UD call him out on TV saying he's a 6th man and not a starter.

Herro needs to go but the word of Stephen A is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Always the laziest, lamest arguments to get views and clicks
