That's horrible. A future top 5 pick for a marginally better big & offloading a moderately bad contract.

It’s the 2031 2nd round pick in that trade.

I like it.

I read it wrong, so I rescinded the response. It's just another one of the weird trades where I think why didn't the 3rd team just take the younger, better big. They're giving up more. We're trying to finesse our way into 3-way trades where we don't add value.

I like the trade but I'd be shocked in the kings gave up a future 1st for Bobby

You may be right but according to reports they value Kyle Kuzma and Portis is a better fit and player than Kuzma.

Happy to see Badji there. Majorly toolsy big we had on the Herd briefly two years ago before Portland picked him up. Still only 21. Listed 7-1 240, has measured with a 7-8 wingspan and 9-7 standing reach.

What a relief. I was beginning to think we weren't participating this yr.

Happy to see Marjon competing his 3rd yr. If it's good enough for Kessler, it is for him. Green fairly graduated.

I don't know if there's a viable C here. Might need to force-fit Tyler Smith. Smith-Livingston-AJJ-Marjon-Johnson.

This is a pretty uninteresting team, outside our own draft picks. Mutually don't understand why TyTy's here.

All eyes on AJ Johnson & how his physical tools project. Otherwise don't overreact, unless someone can't get shots off.

So we have 5 legitimate roster guys(Marjon, Ajax, Livingston, Ajohn, Tyler Smith) 2 2ways(Rollins & Galloway) plus Besson, Badji, and Tyty. Quite a few interesting players

Mke: Moody, GP2, Stewart, Richards
Cha: Pat, ‘26 Atl 2nd
Det: Looney, Lyles, Marjon, ‘27 Sac 1st, ‘31 Mke 2nd, ‘28 Atl 2nd
Sac: Bobby
Gsw: Brook

Dame/Delon/Johnson
Moody/Green/GP2
Khris/Dre/Livingston
Giannis/Prince/Smith
Stewart/Richards

Offer tpmle to Okoro which I’m sure Cleveland would beat.

We shed a ton of salary, get two younger rising players in Stewart and moody, get another defensive specialist in GP2, and then get a serviceable backup center in Richards. We’d have the tpmle available which I’d use to target a better combo forward, but there might not be any worthwhile options.

Let GP2 walk after the year, and try to extend moody right away.

I did think the same thing, but if the Kings trade Lyles and a 1st for Stewart they would enter the tax I do believe.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

We could use a Larry Sanders type, maybe he’s ready and he dominates SL to earn a spot? I like it. It’s certainly worth the lotto ticket he’s costing to try and hit big.

This is the most interesting Summer league in years. Chris Livingston has the body and athleticism of a guy who could help us. Maybe he's the surprise this team needs.

Yep having 5 legitimate roster guys, plus another 5 who are atleast somewhat interesting means a large majority of the playing should go to guys who Bucks fans should atleast be a little interested in their development. Hopefully no Nico Mannion's or Craig Randall's this year taking a million jump shots

Also I wouldn't mind putting Badji & Tyty on two ways and saying see ya to Rollins & Galloway

Jalen Lewis could be interesting

He was the #2 player in his recruiting class before ruining his stock by taking a $1mil deal with OTE and not doing well there

Got young Kevin Love comps before that

https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/31788663/jalen-lewis-becomes-highest-ranked-recruit-join-elite

And he's somehow still 18 (& is younger than either of our rookies) because he went "pro" at 16

That is a very interesting SL roster, lotta guys to monitor both the main roster guys and beyond. Didn’t know Besson was coming over, that’s pretty cool

The interest is almost all in the 5 drafted players. We didn't get any of the top 50 or so undrafted players, & among the ones we've been developing, none have shown anything on the NBA-level like AJ Green had.

I'd rather have the summer league championship than the in season tournament championship.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I would argue that Tyty, Rollins, Galloway, Badji, & Besson despite on being on the roster are atleast somewhat interesting because there is a plausible pathway to them playing minutes on the regular season roster in some form or another. I can't really say that about the rest of the roster or guys we previously had playing summer league like Nico Mannion, Craig Randall, etc.

The same front office who put those groups together did so this one as well. They typically struggle on the margins.

I remember some enthusiasm towards Drew Timme, Omari Moore, RayJon Tucker. There's going to be recency bias.

I'd be tickled if we had snagged PJ Hall & had another AJ Green in the pipeline, in addition to the picks. But we don't. Instead we got a no-name undrafted guy, a couple alright G-league performers, a couple fringy NBA players, etc. Pretty standard for us.
