Coach - Williams - Monty was never considered an elite coach. But he was the best they could get

Trade - Paul - Chris Paul had no market at the time. His contract was deemed unreadable. OKC was just happy they found a team to take him.

FA - Crowder, Payne, Saric. They all had one good year and struck lightning for a year

Draft - Johnson This was a Jeff Bewers pick. Bewers had scouted him for years. Bewera was co-GM at the time. Somehow Jones gets credit for that pick
Wait I thought the popular way to bash Jones for the CP trade it was a slam dunk move and all orchestrated by CP?

CP had regained trade value by having a good and healthy season in OKC.. but there definitely was risk involved to make that trade.

There's plenty of legit **** to bash Jones about, might as well give him credit for the CP move which obviously worked out really well.

Again lots and lots of reasons to bash Jones and I could care less if he was fired tomorrow but should also be noted he took over at a super low point in the franchises history and since then we're in one of the winningest runs in franchise history.

So it really looks like Jones wants to play Dunn if Okogie is the last signing. Might even pencil Dunn in ahead.

Gambo said we're targetting an athletic wing - didn't get one via FA or trade (ie. no Okogie upgrade) just draft, so must have faith Dunn is that player.

I can put him in for 5 mins to start the 2nd quarter get him to cause some chaos.

I really like this lineup to start the 4th.

Morris, Beal, Allen, Bol, Nurkic

Has facilitation, has shooting won't fall in a hole for 4 minutes before Booker and Durant come back in.

I think we have other players in mind and are waiting to see if we can get any of them before committing to Okogie. I bet Okogie has vet min offers from a few teams (or maybe a bit more) and he's willing to wait it out since he won't lose anything

Im working on a written piece thats more detailed on their turnovers, and one of the initial things that stands out is how absolutely abysmal the Suns' turnover rate was whenever Booker wasnt on the court last season. One of the simple things that screams "try me" is ensuring your AST:TO king backup PG (in theory, anyway) is on the court basically every second that Booker is not in the game. Its only like 25% of the minutes in a game where he plays, but its (mins w/o Book) a disproportionally large percentage of their TOs. At the very least it's probly a worthwhile experiment.

It's also his calf.

Hopefully it has nothing to do with his achilles tendon but the worrying part is when he was with GSW it started with a calf injury...

Suns with Nurkic, Plumlee matches up poorly against playoff rivals who they are likely to face in the first round. It's just very glaring, it's the same problem the Bulls had the last 3 years or so. Teams will just attack the middle or go small ball and Suns are disadvantaged big time. You'd need KD and Booker to average 35 plus to offset the lack of defense.

FVV
Beal
booker
Thompson
Nurkic

Or trade 2031 for kessler

So Okogie or Lowry for the last spot (likely Okogie)

I don't particularly like depth 10-17 on our list.

Dunn, Okogie, Lee, Roddy, Little, Ighodaro, Gillespie, Bridges all not really viable for deep playoffs.

So all of the top 9 need to be at their best, no margin for error.

Why is this a dumb post? Because you love KD ? He has done a lot for us!

A true PG with FVV and young stud in Thompson does a lot! then a defender like brooks.
