Nigel looks like he's lost weight. Much fitter frame.

Zach Kinziger got bumped to a 4 star by the 247 composite ranking. It seems like he might be an under discussed commit

Further expanding on this, Kinzinger just got bumped to the #67 ranked prospect by ESPN. That would be Wisconsin's highest ranked commit since Sam Dekker, even higher than Freitag last year.

Wasn't Pritzl ranked around there?

Good Badger, but was hoping for a Marshall Henderson arc for the boy. When interviewed shortly after committing, he said "I can shoot the piss out the ball." Fox River Valley vibes through the dang roof.

Pritzl wasn't a top 100 guy by ESPN

Our Top 100 recruits since Dekker have been Nigel Hayes at 83rd, Nate Reuvers at 86th, & Lorne Bowman at 97th.

Stating the obvious, there's a lot of variability between services. For example, per 247, the top 100 recruits since Dekker were: Koenig #64, Pritzl #74, Reuvers #56. Which is kinda funny just because there's only overlap with one player.

Definitely. It was moreso just adding on to how Kinziger seemingly is blowing up, I specifically mentioned ESPN because they just updated their rankings. Kinziger is now a consensus 4 star and depending on where you look one of the highest rated recruits Wisconsin has had

That wisconsin team was so ridiculous. I get annoyed every time I pull up KenPom rankings for the year and see that team as a top 3 kenpom rated team of all time, grouped with the Kentucky and duke team from the same season.

No sports loss has caused me more pain than that team losing the title game to Duke. It was clear that was a once in a lifetime team for Wisconsin basketball and they deserved that title.

Exactly this. In my older age, I try to be zen about sports playoffs. Unless you draw the lucky card and you're the Mahomes Chiefs or Brady Patriots, 99% of fans are going to be pissed off in the playoffs of every season. So I just expect it and try to live with the result/move on. I've gotten lucky enough to see some of my teams win a title.

I have to expect a loss and not be pissed off no matter what or you realize that sports suck because you'll always be mad.

This one was different. It's not supposed to happen, and it is a true statement that this was certifiably the only chance I'll have in my lifetime to see this team win it all. And they should've.

I will still never understand how it was ruled Duke ball when it was clearly off their finger tip. That one hurt so much especially after beating 38-0 Kentucky, and especially because it was against Duke.

My girlfriend at the time infamously tried to console me by saying, "there's always next year" after that loss. I still married her, but man that was dumb of her to say.

Wisconsin didn't deserve that game.

They got outplayed by Duke twice that year.

I will admit that I haven't watched a single highlight of that game since it happened, but "deserve" is not the right word.

I think the 5 foul calls on Grayson Allen being breathed on going to the basket were the bigger deal. I always am too annoyed to look back, but weren't the Badgers down by 5 with 2 minutes left or something like that when it went off Winslow's fingertip?

Not saying you're arguing it, but I actually started walking out of Lucas Oil as the game slipped away and I think I may have even missed this play because it was basically in hand for Duke.

Yeah, I don't care about Winslow's play. Game was basically done by then. The foul discrepancy and Grayson Allen going off is what killed us.

The game winner by Andrew Harrison the year prior was just as disheartening because they likely would have been favorites for that one too.
