Thursday mid-day trade idea for the board:
OKC trades
Kenrich Williams, Jazz pick returned to UTA, 2 2nds to ORL (2025s via ATL, MEM)*
OKC Receives
Wendell Carter Jr
ORL trades
WCJ, Cole Anthony
ORL receives
Kenrich Williams, Collin Sexton, 2 2nds from OKC (2025s via ATL, MEM)*
UTA trades
Colin Sexton
UTA receives
Cole Anthony, It's FRP pick is returned via OKC
Thunder pick up another option to pair our front court, good fit on the roster, and Kenrich is a solid plug-n-play reliable player for Orlando.
Jazz reduce salary and retain control of its pick completely. Receive Anthony, who is a scorer like Sexton, but allows UTA to go full throttle for the 1st pick in 2025. Keyontae George and Anthony pick up primary guard rotation in Utah.
Magic sends out a derivative piece now (as Bitadze, Isaac, Banchero, ze Wagners are the frontcourt) and get a better scorer out of it. Kenrich adds wing defense and compensation for 2025 Draft. Sexton can replace Fultz's scoring much better, and is on a two-year deal, it won't dislodge the future cap for ORL.
* 2025 ATL 2nd rounder is 31-40 protected. OKC can offer other 2nds but I feel this one is going to convey. MEM 2nd rounder is unprotected.

At this point it's doubtful that pick ever conveys. This is an easy pass for Utah.

Yeah, I agree it may never convey. Does the appeal of UTA retaining control of the pick make any difference to you ? [opens it up for other transactions etc]
Does UTA want another 2nd for its trouble via OKC or is this DOA ?

Can't see OKC trading for WCJ after signing Hartenstein.

DOA. A different first or first(s) might do it. Or one of the less desirable picks + the flexibility of our pick returned. Sexton is really damn good.

OKC needs a 4 now, not a 5.

Re: ORL/OKC/UTA - Sexton/WCJ/Kenrich
I'd see OKC needing a PF more than a center. (WCJ can play a little PF but he's mostly a center).
I don't see Orlando moving their starting center to upgrade their backup PG. Though if Utah could be incentivized to make the Anthony/Sexton swap relatively cheaply than Orlando should be interested.

Yea . Primary 4 who can play some 5s (that’s a bonus)
Rather than primary 5 who can play some 4s.

Re: ORL/OKC/UTA - Sexton/WCJ/Kenrich
Sexton is interesting but I think the Magic are in an awkward spot where their starting lineup is pretty solidified and adding a backourt guy is a non-starter unless they're okay with:
A - Most likely burying Anthony Black/Jett Howard for another season
B - Benching one of KCP, Suggs, or the acquired player
C - Praying that whichever player is benched is happy with that role
Paolo moving to fulltime center definitely shouldn't be the answer either to try and fix that problem.
If a deal like this were to happen, I think it'd be closer to the deadline in the chance the Magic don't buy that Anthony Black can be the backup PG and are ready to go a new direction.

Re: ORL/OKC/UTA - Sexton/WCJ/Kenrich
I think Sexton could be had. But, I think his value to the Jazz is probably a lot more than this. A year ago, I would have been fine with this return, but he had a fantastic season. So, I'm ready to keep him on the Jazz and play him.
If someone wants him I think that they will have to give up real assets, not imaginary 1sts and porential 2nds. Maybe nobody wants him that badly. I'm fine with that. I enjoyed his play last year and will look forward to watching him for a long time. He's kind of like Kessler that way. Could be had, but I'm totallly happy keeping them on the Jazz instead.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."
