Start focusing on names in the middle of the 1st rd, that’s where we’re headed.
Listen to the presser…these guys are gunning for the Play In, we’re not drafting in the top 10 unless we fluke into the top 4.
We'll be Hawks 2.0 next season.
Although Silver would never let us jump into the lotto, our franchise can profit and increase ticket prices while losing.

Don’t take the PR bait. They have to say this winning culture fluff when announcing a $400M contract signing for 2 players. Masai has said before as well: they want to give this crew a chance that they didn’t get to see last year.
They will do a half hearted “win effort” to develop the guys and their value, then pivot to a January tank.
I agree that we’re likely closer to #10 than the #1 pick. I’d be happy if we can get up to #6 or #7…and pick up another first rounder along the way.

I know it's just practice but there is a clear quickness difference between a Flagg type player and these team USA vets. It's really noticeable.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
might be the best top 5 since 2003. not quite as good since there's no Lebron level generational talent, but otherwise the top 5 looks amazing. although it's a deeper class than 2003 imo. better prospects in the late lotto range.

demin is being overrated IMO he looks like more of a role player like risacher was this year except he's more competent in the halfcourt and attacking the hole
we'll see what he does at BYU but i have him more towards post lotto area for now

A half hearted effort probably puts us in the drivers seat for the 10th seed. A 33 win pace might be enough for 10th considering how bad the bottom of the East will be. Do we pivot to a tank if we’re on course to make the play-in (by default)? I don’t know.

“play in for what?”
January Pivot is the best we can hope for. Given the lack of depth, all it takes is one Poeltl trade or Scottie injury and we’ll be good enough for somewhere between 6-10.

Yes! He's one of my favorite one-and-done sleepers from his recruiting class.
My other guy is Carter Bryant (could there be a more perfect name for a future Raptor?).
Long, athletic, two-way wing or combo-forward, already standing 6'8" and 220lbs. Has potential three-level scoring and on ball creation ability. Needs to be more selfish or assertive as he plays within the team concept almost to a fault.
On the low end I see a Kevin Knox type, mid end a Trevor Ariza type, and on the high end there's a bit of Danny Granger in him. A four-star recruit (19th) for his 2024 Freshman class.

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
Most underrated prospect mostly only the advanced analytics community and Blue Devil community are talking about is Kon Knueppel
Shockingly they're listing him at 6'7 at Duke which is insane because he looks more like 6.4'25 w/o shoes at best but maybe I'm blind. His body type is unconventional (built like small wing version of Big Country Reeves) and he's going to be labelled a slow white guy but the reason I gravitate to these types a lot is because they're overlooked and there is tremendous value to be had in them because of the discrimination.
What we are seeing so far is a highly composed, multidimensional talent who is an elite, elite, elite shooter and shutting down the claims he will struggle defensively.
He grabs boards, drops dimes, he can do it all. Think of a highly advanced form of Cam Spencer with a much higher pro ceiling. Could be up there with Reed Sheppard if not better due to size and ISO D if Reed's size ends up hurting him at NBA level. Most intriguing is that Kon shot 59.4% from the field as a HS senior which is an absolutely insane base FG%. His shooting stats up until this point are strong enough to be certain that he is an elite shooter.
He is going to do big things at Duke Year 1 and he's 1 and done IMO.

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
Tank for Bailey and Flagg! Getting lucky like Atlanta getting 1 of those would bring the Raptors up with any team in the East except Boston.
Realistic player in the teens for me would be Colin Murray-Boyles, Dink Pate, JT Toppin and Zvonimir Ivisic.
New players I'm not sure of.

Yeah i compare it to that 2003 Class as well....Yeah ofc no one will be as good as LeBron but the comps would be
Flagg=LeBron
Bailey=Melo
Edgecomb=Wade
Maluach=Bosh
Then you have Harper/Traore/Hugo + a boat load of depth in the class....The top player won't be as good as LBJ but the class is better than the 03 the deeper you go into the lottery...

Watching him play, and hearing these guys and the way they talk about him just depresses me that we are likely going to be in a 7-10 pick range. Deep draft is great, but we need top end talent, not just solid starters or one time all stars.

Props TZ!

The Raptors sell out every single year. The last 2-3 years shows it doesn't matter how bad they are. The price is near insane in the lower bowl. Y'all need to stop with this fantasy that they are just trying to sell more seats at scrounge out every dollar when they have already done that.

It depresses you before a single game is played, that the we can't get 15% because you feel that's a guarantee and anything like 7-8% makes it just not possible? That's a pretty stupid thing to type.

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
This is the Kidd I'm rooting for. He's going to have to transform his body this summer and during the year. If he can do that and perform, he'll move up the boards.
VJ is different tho, he's a superstar.
Good thing, this draft has a lot of SFs

In Raptor Ball I Trust
