Very happy Lowry is back. The hate on him is ridiculous. He's a great option on the bench and when needed starting option at times

McCain as third is a upgrade over Payne and if I hear dowtin Jr name one more time in gonna snap!!! He don't belong in NBA. Next move is Morris Sr big Time pick up like Lowry has juice as a 15min back up vet.

Any way to sign and trade Kj for a longer wing of ?? Without hurting cap???

Lowry is still a productive 15 MPG player on a championship caliber team. He brings a great veteran presence. He's a good person to have on the team come playoff time especially with two guys in PG and Joel who shrink in the playoffs.

If Joel and PG shrink again, we’re screwed. Nothing Kyle Lowry can do at this late stage is changing that.

Rather McCain and Gordon get the minutes if the former is shakey.
always a jump shot away.

I like Lowry, but I expect his time will depend on of we get another F or not.

Based on the Woj tweet, I imagine they plan on having Oubre play starting minutes at the guard slot. If they get another forward, he'll spend most of the time in that slot. If not, he could be rotating with Martin and PG, opening more minutes for the guard spot.

Regardless of whatever he was listed at, Caleb Martin mostly defended perimeter players during the season. The 3 players he defended the longest during the regular season were Terry Rozier (weird that they ended up on the same team), Dejounte Murray and Tyrese Maxey.

It could also depend on the matchup. Oubre did a good job defending Brunson in the playoffs. I’d anticipate he continues to draw up defending the opposing teams top guard each week.

In the short run, McCain is a Downgrade from Cam Payne. Maybe in 2-3 seasons he'll be as good as Payne.

Very happy to have Lowry back. He is still a solid player in this league. Very rarely makes a mistake out there. Yeah, he's 38, but he can still play. The second unit is starting to shape up now. I like the veteran backcourt with him and Gordon. I don't understand complaining about bringing Lowry back. I doubt Nurse leans on him the way he had to when we got him last season. Nurse had no choice given the circumstances. This gives us depth, a calming presence on the floor, and a safety valve for Tyrese Maxey. Smart signing, smart player, he can still hit an open three, doesn't turn the ball over. I don't know what's not to like.

At this point the only unexpectrd move of the off season is Batum to sign back with the Clips.
And maybe CMart signing with less than expected

Lowry is a pest and annoying as fck in the playoffs and that's why I wanted him back. I hated playing against him for those reasons and now it's nice to have him doing to opposing teams.

Yeah. I think he's a great vet minimum addition... But I also worry about Nurse leaning too much on him.

Playoffs normally an 8 man rotation.

Maxey
Oubre
George
Martin
Embiid

Lowry
Gordon
Drummond

We need another rotation wing. Gotta go 9 deep

Close the summer out with Morris and Walker and that would be a near perfect offseason.

Marcus Morris and/or Jae Crowder and we're good until the trade deadline.
