Yes, we were unlearning 5 months of bad habits. The notion that you have to take last seasons coaching situation at face value is dishonest at best
Also we had Dame/Beas defending the perimeter 30 mins a game last season. Replacing Beas with an average defender could slide you up 5 spots on the defensive end
There's a disconnect with people who see the room for internal improvements, and those who ignore it. Ignoring it is too blatant for me, there will be improvements just by virtue of Dame/GA/KM having time for cohesion and Doc able to install a defense in training camp. Say what you want about Doc but he often gets his teams in a pretty good spot on the defensive end in the RS
