This tournament should be better when they expand to 32 teams. They'll be able to have 8 groups of 4 teams with top two advancing, or the group winners going straight to the quarterfinals if they want to shorten the length of the tourney. Nice and simple. That would get rid of all the janky tiebreakers used to decide the quarterfinalists, confusing the audience.

And i agree that all the teams playing on designated nights would make more sense as well, similar to the Champions League in Europe.
