It's really the only explanation. Who intentionally buys clothes the color of whites washed with a new red beanie.

This is why I don't understand the hype he keeps getting. He's not good he's shown us for a full year. Accept it and stop mentioning his name you will be much more stress free.

They have been hiding Bronny since high school. Always bringing up excuses about why he couldn’t do more or how it was actually better he didn’t do more. Looks like a kid that doesn’t even like playing in basketball games.

Hopefully he figures out whether this is what he wants to do…because he doesn’t play like someone who wants to maximize his talent. He just looks scared and doesn’t compete.

I think his basketball upbringing did him a disservice. He doesn’t even look like he can bring this ball up the court against a decent NBA defender..sad

I feel sorry for him. Imagine the pressure he is under. He's probably better than he has shown and would do better without the spotlight always being on him.

Without the spotlight on him, he's not drafted and he's out of the league. Probably wouldn’t have come out of college early. You can't just focus on the lowlights of having a superstar dad without mentioning the perks of having one. He has benefitted from all the coaching and facilities that a kid born into basketball would have.

People have been saying he's "better than he's shown" since he was in high school. At what point are people going to realize he's just not good?

We have known for a full year Bronny is not good.

At what point will we accept that he's not good?

At this point it feels like we only talk about him because he's Lebron son. I simply don't understand why he keeps getting all this attention. He's not good. Let the kid got to the Gleague and develop. Time to focus on the players who actually deserve it.

Risacher needs to become stronger, but we can see he is a smart, unselfish, system player. I think he will be fine for the Hawks.

I'm sure everyone actually in NBA offices and scouting were well aware of this, as are most serious people covering the NBA (aka not SAS) but there are politics in the NBA too.

I mean it was a more reasonable take when he was a freshman in highschool playing with 3 other dudes that got drafted who were older than him, but that was assuming most boys still grow a few more inches in highschool etc, and that part didn't happen. and even after Zaire / Boston / Bailey all left he still was playing more like a 3/D small guard except with no 3.

As for Reed, it's just summer league, but he's done nothing people high on him wasn't expecting so far. the big reason why more analytics bent guys are uber high on him is because his stats last year was just an insane outlier performance, especially once you consider it's a freshman small guard, most good small guards who aren't some insane athletic specimen sucked in their freshman year and took 3-4 years to be good. he checked every box analytics projections looks for.

I think the Rockets will only play Cam Whitmore one more game at most, and then just see if Sheppard can play a more heliocentric PG for the last couple game and see what that looks like. he did show a bit more aggressiveness in that 3rd quarter today than college.

I guess him airballing floaters and paint shots in shootaround wasn't a fluke?

Can they send him back to college? Like Division 3 community college in the middle of nowhere…

His stat line (which I'm surprised no one is also calling out 3 turnovers, as a couple were pretty bad), makes us all feel a little like when we think "I could do better than some of these guys", there is actually a case for it now.

I can guarantee you if I was playing summer league I could easily match Bronny's 3pt shooting stats across all games.

He can’t shoot 3s .. oof not even 1 but knecht 4 looks great

When Bronny isn't on our TV the whole country should be asking themselves, "where's Bronny"?

Jordan Miller 39 points. He averaged 22.5 in the G League last year. Yet Lue preferred guys like PJ Tucker lol

I think this draft is going end up being a lot stronger than people thought. Sarr moves and shoots like a guard and is 7 feet tall. Covers ground patrolling the middle like Adebayo on defense. His length is amazing, and he can really move his feet to get a close out. He's going to be an elite defender in this league. His footwork and movement is so fluid for his size. Sheppard showed a lot of ability tonight to create space off the dribble and really made it look too easy. His range is ridiculous, and he has no fear. He's going to be a killer you can already tell. Risacher is probably the most NBA ready and looked solid. Great left hand, and you can tell the game comes to him. Very mature player with a high basketball IQ. Quite of number players have looked promising so far.

Ya, I have no idea why people thought Sarr was going to bust. His defense alone will keep him in the league for a while.

Denver Nuggets No. 22 overall pick DaRon Holmes II has suffered a torn right Achilles tendon, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. He’s expected to miss the 2024-25 season. Devastating blow for one of the Nuggets’ promising young pieces.

If he averages 5 ppg in any season, I think that would be a pretty big success for him.
