Ron Holland, Sasser, Klintman are the guys I'll be watching, but it's really all about our 5th pick.. I'm curious to see how hard he plays, defense, and hopefully he can hit some shots.

We're 2-0 against the Sixers all-time in the summer league so we've got to keep dominating them. I still remember our 2007 squad beating them in OT led by Jason Maxiel, Aaron Afflalo and Rodney Stuckey (not really probably wasn't even televised or live streamed at that point but I just looked at the boxscore on nba.com).

For sure!

I’m excited to see what Slawson and Tolu Smith bring to the table too.

I think they had the games on NBA TV
I was a big Afflalo fan.

I started watching summer league in 2010:

2010: OMG Austin Daye is going to be Rashard Lewis mixed with KD. Terrico White is the next Tyreke Evans

2012: Andre Drummond is the next Dwight guaranteed. Brandon Knight had 14 assists. He’s a faster Chauncey. Ignore the fact they played in what looked like a ymca

2013: Wow I don’t regret not getting Shamu at all. KCP is the next premier guard. Drummond is surely going to be a a hall of famer. Kris Middleton might be an all star (this one was true)

2014: I will bet my life KCP will be an All NBA guard in 2-3 years.

2015: Stanley Johnson is a mix of Pippen and Artest. We got our star.

2016: ok maybe Stanley is actually mini Lebron.

2017: ok maybe I was wrong about Henry, he might be Dirk. Luke is might be Curry.

2018:this is the year Henry takes the leap

2019: Even I couldn’t homer this roster

2021: Cade is Luka

2022: I haven’t been this excited for a player since Stanley Johnson. Ivey is for sure the next Russ. Maybe with a little Ja in him.

2023: mark my words, Ausar Thompson is iguodala and Sasser is Lou Will.

I think I’ve finally decided to not overreact to summer league. For 2024 I predict:

1. Holland is a slightly worse Kobe
2. Klintman is a mix of Paul George and Batum.

Ha.. This is why I would prefer we trade our lottery picks (and hope for the best in the 2nd round, or a late 1st - 4-yr guy or a Euro)

But I can't wait to see Holland. Just to see how well he does. We've had such bad luck in the lottery. I still like Cade and think he'll have a much better year with guys to pass to. JB will make sure even the bad defenders give maximum effort I hope.

Posters in 2016 proclaiming Henry Ellenson to be the second coming of Dirk was peak summer league freezing takes.

Anyway, excited to see how Holland and to a lesser extent Klintman and Sasser go.

Last two summer leagues I was excited as they featured 4-5 players that would see meaningful playing time in the season. This year's roster will literally just be Holland and Sasser. Really just hoping Holland has a better jump shot than advertised. Someone on this team has gotta be able to freaking shot eventually.

Watching Bulls-Bucks SL game. Quite a few scrubs are just ball hogging/not passing and trying to get their own in an attempt to get a two way contract, while the good players frustratedly look on.

Milwaukee guards are so bad, they should've traded all those picks they spent drafting guys that won't turn into NBA caliber players for real players.

They need someone next to Dame. Andre Jackson Jr/MarJon Beauchamp/A Johnson have no business playing in the NBA.

Umude might earn a starting spot there.

Is anyone watching this? (Surprised there aren't comments yet)

Everyone playing solid so far. Stones up 14-6 on a club who played 3 games already.

Holland has been good offensively. Has a herky jerky dribble to get his own shot, take up space, make tough shots from tough angles, good passes.

I always despise how these non-NBA caliber summer league guards go rogue and no one else touches the ball.

Most important thing is Holland being aggressive. That’s his M.O.

Yeah it has to be the most frustrating part of SL. They're all vying for a two way contract when the average fan has no interest in watching them chuck up bricks. #24 is doing that for us.

He's redeeming himself a bit.

I think we have our new Saben Lee maybe? Too soon?
