Bobi Klintman - 4 years, $7.9 million

Another move that will be interesting to see the timing of. If it's an immediate signing then it really seems like the team is pretty much done in free agency.

As for the Klintman deal itself... cool? I guess?

I believe the second round signings become official on 31 July so the space remains available until then. But seems like we're likely done. Maybe a vet PG signing to round out the roster.

Are all 4 years guaranteed or is it structured like a first round contract?

I believe I read somewhere that only the first 2 years are guaranteed.

Last 2 years are unguaranteed.

He’s looking pretty good so far. Could be decent in a couple years

He definitely looks better than any of Weaver's 2nd rounders! If he was on this team last year he would have played 25mpg (barring Monty stupidity).

I think under the new deal teams need to find guys that they think will or have the ability to get to a rotational to late rotational player over the course 2-4 seasons and sign them to contracts like this, I think you could do the same with Tooson if he continues to show improvement but I’d think his ceiling might be a bit lower. Fill our spots 12-15 with that project, but nice fit.

Some people had him mocked as a late 1st. Hopefully he works out cause he definitely has a few things to his game

One thing that really bothers me about Klintman is his athleticism. He just seems really slow when making moves around the basket whether that’s jumping or moving. I feel like you can count to ten when he starts making a play the basket. He has shown something at least.

I’m hoping he works on his agility and gets a new cut because those braids are trash lol

I hope everyone isn't getting excited about a Pistons second round pick. Even if he turns out to be a gem, you know it isn't going to happen, on this team.

He will be traded, and then we will all be angry.

Rinse/wash/repeat.

That's a bit cynical. New regime. Enjoy it while you can. As of now, there are endless possibilities.

I remember when Zeeb was the guy who was trying to be positive and couldn't stand how negative others were being.

Totally agree.

Zeeb- I think Weaver damaged your soul. We might need to send you to rehab

Do you think it’s because he lacks athleticism or he’s just used to the speed of what he can get away with against lesser competition?

Many rookies feel the need to adjust their speed/ decision making once they face NBA players.

it's a pretty standard contract for a second round pick, especially a "preferred" player who was taken near the top of the second round.

just with the competition at the 4 this year i imagine he'll spend a lot of time in the g league. he reminds me of what livers was "supposed" to be, hopefully his career goes a little differently. finding connective players that do the small things/dirty work (and hit open shots) is such an underappreciated part of building a roster.

I think he lacks the athleticism. He played in the nbl which I’m familiar with being Australian. It’s not even his time to make a decision, it’s his time making a layup or jumping when he drives to the rim, looks like he’s in slow motion
