In the postgame Marjon said AJ is 6'7". In game they said he's 6'4". Aint no way he's 6'4".

Do we know how tall this kid is? He could be nice in 2-3 years.

MarJon already said Doc wanted him to play the first two games and then he’s free to opt out from the rest so seems like a decent chance tonight will be it.

1) Ajax- I've said this before, but I think he is being played out of position. He is a natural point guard and the Bucks never play him there, even when he is in Oshkosh. He needs the ball in his hands. Whether he can succeed in that role is a legitimate question, but the Bucks have never given him a chance. I have no faith in his success, unless he can be a switchable point guard who can defend.

2) The number one quality I look at when scouting a player is do they understand the game. Marjon does not. I have real doubts that Livingston does, but he's younger. Ajax understands, as does Green.

3) I thought Rollins was the best defender I saw in Oshkosh last year. I think he understands the game and needs to be given a lot of playing time in Oshkosh. Needs to bulk up but he has the highest potential I've seen, although that opinion can change quickly with more evidence.

My list:

Green
Rollins
Ajax
Johnson-really haven't seen enough of him or Smith to have any accurate opinion
Smith
Livingston
the rest

I’m with you for the most part with everything in this post but couldn’t disagree more on AJax. He’s never really shown any ability to create with the ball in his hands at any level. It’s just not his thing. As a result, I tend to be fairly skeptical of him being a helpful player but it really boils down to him learning how to defend without fouling and finding a way to contribute on offense.

I would take MarJon over him still but the instincts definitely seem off with him which is a potentially fatal issue. That’s a huge part and it’s something AJax has and MarJon seemingly does not, but I just don’t see much skill with AJax and that has to improve at some point.

3 inches added since Draft Combine Measurement cause of AJ's haircut

I mean he is still a kid. Not crazy to think he could have added another inch since the combine just in his sleep. He did look pretty similar in height to both AJAX and Marjon so 6'6 wouldn't surprise me.

Was AJ malnourished growing up like Giannis? I always thought that was why Giannis grew like 3 inches after we drafted him

To me thats a total win of a day for us.

Tyler Smith and Rollins and Livingston looking good are just icing on the cake

We can't agree on that. He is a total project that has no business being one of our higher paid players. Intriguing prospect, but there's lots of Intriguing 2nd rounders

Marjon put up some stats, but he didn't look like the best player in the game. There was a lot of bleh, including his slow processing that led to him airballing shots or getting blocked. It still looked difficult for him to handle the ball or to penetrate and was a game high -16.

To me Marjon is on a similar career trajectory as Pat. He is taller and longer so he has legit wing positional size but he lacks the ball handling it's needed to be a high quality wing that can attack the basket. It took Pat until his 3rd year to get actual playing time and he was a year older than what Marjon is now.

It's okay if Marjon is just a decent 3pt shooter and average defensive guy because you need those players too. I think there is a lane for him to be a better version of Pat.

He was the best scorer and playmaker, and was good defensively in isolation.

The 1st airballed 3 was not only a foul, but should have been a flagrant 1.

Who did you think was better?

3rd year player had the green light. Took the bulk of the offensive load (on terrible shooting percentages). I think Rollins was the more impressive playmaker and defensively I thought Livingston did a lot of nice things on the wing that could get him playing time.

Trainers specifically focused on working on Marjon's handles pre game.

I've always liked Rollins, but he really needs to be playing PG.

Livingston plays hard, but his offensive development seemed to plateau late in the G League season, and I'm not seeing anything new now.

Idk where the agenda to knock our guy came from. He’s going to contribute this season. His role will be simplified. Go defend and be decisive when the ball gets swung to you

Ajax was an excellent passer at Uconn and was considered a point guard, sharing duties with Tristan Newton. Will it translate? Maybe not, but it's one of his top basketball skills. Bucks obviously agree with you, since he's never been given the chance. Mistake in my opinion.

Agree. Lots of young players look indecisive, until they don't. Its part of the development process.
