Nah that's just that Wizards culture baby!

Led by Poole and Kuzma. Starr in cruise control. 8-)

Ummm they said the same thing about lively. Sarr is going to be a beast bro you can’t teach that length

They said the same thing about Kel'el Ware. Look, Javale McGee is kind of a bonehead and yet he has played for three championship winning teams. Sometimes the measurables are the measurables.

I completely agree.

This is a stacked class of solid starters.

Agreed I didn't see this coming. Most of the top picks have looked pretty good so far. Even the mid round guys have looked impressive. This class won't be as bad as many thought it would.

These mock draft gurus don't know ****. They only use statistics. I personally think they don't actually watch NBA basketball. They just watch prospects and then highlights of NBA basketball. That's why I just share who I think has pro potential. I could care less where a guy is drafted. Only if he can play. I crapped on Filipowski for two years and then he fell to the 2nd round. These guys mocked him in the lotto for two straight seasons.

The guys on the draft board are better than the analysts. Although I do like Vecenie but I understand I’m in the minority with him.

Look at 2025. They still have Traore and Edgecombe below Bailey and Harper. They still haven't talked about Asa Newell after that Hoop Summit performance. I kept wondering why he was going to Georgia, but it began to dawn on me, he played on a stacked HS team that didn't allow him the chance to show out statistically (this is good though, shows he's a team player). Well at UGA he is going to get to flex his full potential. Just watch. Dude is going to rocket up the draft boards and everyone is gonna act all weird about it.

Guys so far this Summer League

Risacher: Looks fine
Sarr: Looks horrible
Sheppard: Looks great
Castle: Looks fine, but not an NBA player until he can shoot and doesn't seem to have gotten better
Holland: Same as Castle
Salaun: Coming off bench in summer league
Clingan: Did not look good
Dillingham: Ehh
Edey: Looked great but only played in one game
Cody Williams: Has looked bad
Matas: Ehh
Topic: Out for year
Carter: Out for 6 months
Bub: Ehh

I'm not sure why people think this class is exceeding expectations (not that it would matter at all in summer league)

Cody Williams and Castle looked fine to me , as in, they belong in the league, but not going to move the needle much as rookies... still, they will have moments this year.

Edey is in a great situation in Memphis and looked good his first game.

That Spurs-Hawks game is the worst display of basketball I've seen in a while. And what's up with the Hawks scrubs, seems like they have an agreement to never pass the ball to Risacher.

I'll discuss it.

The Rockets have had great lotto luck in recent years. Gotten great players. The Spurs have had great lotto luck in recent years. Gotten great players. The Mavs have had great lotto (and otherwise) luck in recent years. Gotten great players. The league is doing everything it can (waaay more than what I've written here) to make sure these teams and their owners look as good as possible so that when it's time to push for legalizing sports gambling in Texas, all the ducks are in a row.

I think the whole thing got downgraded because there wasn't a true superstar type coming out. This probably won't be the draft that changes any franchises, but the smart teams went and got guys they could use going forward.

Sheppard looks legit. I think he could be the best player in this class and I see all-star potential with him. Crazy because he was one of the guys I wanted nothing to do with coming into the draft. I fell for the appearance trap. Kid can ball and this white man can jump! :o

Yeah he's got extra spring in those legs. This'll be a really obscure reference but if you know you know. His bounce reminds me of David Lee, former Florida Gator and underground dunking legend. David was like 6'10" but you got the same feel when he jumped. Just pogo sticks where his calves should be. That's Reed.

Reed's dad, Jeff, had serious bounce at Kentucky.

Rockets might have the second best young core in the league after OKC. Sheppard and Whitmore deserve to start. Bench Fred and Brooks.

Risacher is such a depressing #1 overall pick because

-He doesn't have the natural touch to be an elite shooter
-He can't create offense
-He doesn't have the athleticism to be a game changer defender

He's just "guy who is mildly talented who tries really hard and has a pretty good BBIQ" and that's like... good enough to be in the NBA as a 12-15 PPG guy who plays OK defense and not nearly good enough for the #1 pick.

Agreed. ROY and future all-star seem all but certain.

Before the draft I said the Wizards would be absolute morons to pass on Sheppard. I stand by that. Washington passes up another lead guard that could turn their franchise around, for shame! Shepp is the real deal. Rockets need to move FVV so they can give him the keys to the franchise early.

Easy to see why Charlotte wanted desperately to trade up to 3 to nab him but Rockets said no

our HC said that Salaun had injuries from the French playoffs and isn't 100%, which is why he is being minutes managed. He's looked great int he minutes he's played though

Devin booker. Been saying it for months now the same player

Big Wos compared him to Jamal Murray.

He's a lot smaller than Booker, slower and smaller than Murray. Projects as a better passer and shooter than either of them.

He moves/shoots a lot like Mark Price probably would if he'd been born thirty years later.

So funny. All these names, Curry... Nash...

Just let the guy play. He may not be as good as any of the five guys named here. I mean, not Curry or Nash, that seems certain. Hitting the peak of any of the other three would be a great outcome. Just let him plaaaay!!!!!
