Who gets the 2-ways?

Post#1 » by GQ Hot Dog » Tue Jul 16, 2024 2:05 am

Quentin Post is guaranteed one because we just drafted him and we're not going to give him a regular roster spot nor cut him loose.

How about the other two? Reece Beekman got another, but I'm pretty sure they can rescind it if they decide someone else is more deserving.

So based on Summer League performances so far, who are your choices or who do you think the FO will hand them to?

plowden for sure, and right now id go with beekman. I still want to see more of him. if bolden didnt get hurt, I would have wanted him.

Plowden is obvious. Everything we've seen says he's too good for summer league on the same level as Podz and TJD.

Past him, I went with Spencer. 3.5th string point guard, there are situations where he might see minutes and I think he's got good court vision, instincts, and athleticism.

Tbh I think it depends on if we make a trade. Right now we have a glut of wings so I don’t think plowden would get 1. I think either beekman or Spencer or both and most likely post. But really I could see plowden and Knox being useful if we do trade some of our wing depth.

I really liked what I saw from Ethan Thompson. Listed as a guard but with a big body. Very tough. Fills up the stat sheet. I think he has a future in the league.

Just say he's fat.

Seriously though, he could stand to get in better shape.

He's not a special athlete by any stretch, but he's got a very good handle for a guy of his size and length. He's also a clever finisher inside.

I went with Beekman and Plowden.

I don't believe Knox is eligible for a two-way due the his years played in the NBA.

Lol putting Knox up there is just mean

Beekman and Plowden… Thompson can play in SC as #18 in case one of the guards falters. Beekman is a near lock since the team has no real 3rd string PG

Plowden got the last 2 way. So either Spencer or Beekman would have to relinquish their 2 way if we want to add anyone else to a 2way. Guess Post can go either overseas or work in the gleague.

Good for Plowden, he has had a great summer.

Wish we could see more of Beekman and Spencer and some of Post in the remaining games.

Beekman and Spencer looked good when they played. I was really wondering if Bolden would've been able to take the 2way over post, but now that he's out.

Hopefully Beekman and Spencer play now that Podz is out.

Why would they keep Spencer? He's 28 and not an NBA player. It's already been reported Post will sign a 2-way so one of Spencer or Beekman is the odd man out. They can pull and reallocate 2-ways at will.

I have an irrational fondness for Spencer and I agree with you.
