But the endings just suck, like there's just no good options. And I don't mean in the way there are no options that are morally good, there are no options that are satisfying, and it's not like they were that far off
Just have the Destroy ending only kill the Reapers, not the geth/EDI/people with implants. Synthesis is too clean, like it's literally a "this fixes everything" button which is too clean, and yeah I could see if Destroy only killed the Reapers that might be too clean at first glance, but it's like with every other Paragon choice in ME3, you solve the current problem with a potential problem in the future. The entire plot of ME3's explanation of the Reapers is that organics are chaos and will either destroy themselves or create synthetics which will destroy them, and the Reapers were a flawed solution to that problem. Killing the Reapers doesn't solve that problem, it just means organic life should have free will, even if that leads to them destroying themselves
So I just retcon it in my head that Destroy only kills the Reapers cause that's just objectively the better ending
Anyways, I'm gonna start another playthrough sometime soon. I just always get myself sucked back in every time I finish lol.
One of my favorites of all time...I'm really rooting for BioWare to put itself back together. Gotten to the point where I'm totally okay with this next Dragon Age being mission based if I can get the same experience as ME. Also, that Amazon series better be good.
Best DLC fan service of all time. Best dialogue. Beautiful game. Best story. Engaging world, politics, intrigue.
