For what Brad signed Queta, Tillman and Kornet to, I am starting to think Brad may be the Anti-Christ.. It just seems so wrong :o :o

Or he's the second coming of Jesus. Why be so negative about our sweet, innocent Mr. Stevens?

Neemias Queta‘s three-year, minimum-salary contract with the Celtics is fully guaranteed in year one with a partial guarantee of exactly 50% ($1,174,789 of $2,349,578) in year two, plus a third-year team option for 2026/27. The third-year option ($2,667,944) would be guaranteed for 50% ($1,333,972) if exercised. Since his minimum deal covers more than two years, a team wouldn’t be able to acquire Queta via the minimum salary exception if he’s traded down the road.

Through two days of practice, half the highlight clips feature Queta.

I think he will get a fix playing time this season. Probably more than Kornet depending on the matchups, especially since KP is out to start. He can rim protect, rebound, a lob threat and has some post up moves.

He should watch a ton of Timelord film (last two seasons with the Cs, the healthy portion at least) and train with the guys who got Rob where he needed to be defensively.

Great option with the lob as an outlet. The way he calls for them won't work against NBA level defenses as they won't lose him as much. Still works as a threat on offense, just won't be able to finish as much and that's ok if the defense has to decide between giving up a lob to Queta or one less defender on JT/JB/White/Jrue I'll take it just like we did with Timelord.

“Credit to him, he wanted to play Summer League,” DJ MacLeay said. “The big challenge for him this summer has been some of our defensive stuff … we’re changing a lot on the defensive end. A lot of that is centered around helping him get integrated with what we do at the NBA level. He’s doing a good job.”

“(We’re changing) coverages, where (Queta is) at, matchups, what he’s doing on any given possession,” MacLeay said. “Switching some and coverage some. I think the big thing for him is growing into what we do at a really high level with the NBA team … it’s something that he’s really tried to grow this summer and we’re trying to help him with.”

Exactly. I wrote that in a previous comment a while back. Having 4 guys who can all drive and shoot effectively makes Queta valuable. Gotta pick your poison. It may force teams to keep certain players on the court to defend that. I think if Queta gets 20mpg it will be a disruptive 20mpg for the other team.

Smart worked well with Rob when it came to finding him but teams knew it was coming because Smart wasn't a good driver and they laid back when he was shooting. Rob was just an athletic freak who can go up and get the ball wherever it was. Jrue and White will work wonders with Queta IMO because teams have to respect their driving ability and stay with them on the outside. PP and Sam will keep defenses honest on the perimeter which should soften up the paint for Queta. It's gonna be fun if Queta gets quality minutes.

If they're more responsive to that, it'll help open up the exterior for his four teammates.
