Btw, it was absolutely disgusting that Biden withheld SS protection for RFKJR until now, only because it was politically expedient to do so after denying him until the attempt on Trump.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXXIII
there are hundreds of people every year who file the necessary FEC paperwork to run for president, and virtually none of them get secret service. RFK Jr doesn't meet the guidelines for secret service.
it's fair enough that the guidelines are too stringent (nominee of a party that took at least 10% of the popular vote in the previous election - which hasn't happened since Ross Perot) but I wouldn't say it's "absolutely disgusting" and only done because it's "politically expedient."
more like "unfortunate" that the "threat of political violence has led us to reconsider the stringency of requirements of providing secret service to political candidates"

As we have just seen, the final call on whether or not to provide the protection can be discretionary. Obama for example, was granted protection early in his run before he has secured the nomination.

…not sure how it’s “absolutely disgusting” that Biden didn’t use his discretion to provide protection to RFK jr. He has no shot of becoming the democrat nominee and is a joke of a candidate. That’s just slightly different than Obama in 08. He will get some now in case some crazy is going to try and get back at democrats or whatever.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Disgusting because it was denied for political reasons, then given for political reasons. Kennedy had been requesting protection due to threats and incidents and denied, Obama was granted such protection early due to similar threats. Like magic, the request was granted, the threats has always existed with RFKJR.

Apparently at least one witness spotted the shooter and spent two minutes trying to convince cops to check him out

When Virginia is within the margin of error in some polls that's a terrible sign for Biden. He basically has to run the table in the Midwest and he can't afford any "surprises" while Trump has many different paths to an electoral victory. But as we've seen, anything can and will happen. My hope is at least the Dems flip the House because they will lose the Senate.

Let’s hope that this is true, truly that would be stupid enough to let Biden sink the Democrats for a generation.

Yeah, Biden needs to go ASAP.
And it's not even about his actual performance as president.
It's all about how he's perceived sadly.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXXIII
lots of twitter activity wherein people are quoting hilbilly elegy to (a) show that JD Vance has contempt for poor whites; (b) show MAGA poor whites that JD actually hates them, and it just completely misses core concept of how the MAGA poor white mind works, and highlights how much better Trump is at it.
dem dorks with negative charisma desperately fumbling around, trying to figure out how to win a popularity contest. Pokemon Go to the Polls?
idiots.

I think Biden's been a good president but he's a weak candidate imo.
Heck, I think Trump's a weak candidate too.
Like I said, it's about perception sadly.
