Terrific pickup on the minimum, good **** Dame!

I’m not as low on Trent as some here are, I definitely think he’s better than Beasley

I'm pretty even-keeled on the signing in a vacuum, but I think overall our supporting cast this season should be much better than the last. We've done a very good job IMO working with pretty minimal space to fill out the roster...with guys who aren't all old. GTJ, Wright, Prince should help significantly.

This basically gives Beasley level 3 point shooting with better D and more offensive versatility, even if he isn't a stud. He's going to have a **** of open 3s and he's one of the best in the league at that. This also eliminates the need to push someone into the starting SG role that isn't good enough and/or isn't ready. Really think he completes the starting five nicely.

I am still concerned about our perimeter defense. But GTJ makes a bunch else possible.

For instance: Bobby's scoring punch matters that much less in this context...

I don't think these are clear upgrades. I thought Bev played pretty well for us, and we know he can be in a playoff rotation. As bad as Crowder was for us, I'm not convinced Prince is any better, just different. Trent should be better all around than Beasley, but Beasley shot the ball really well for most of the season.

Moving the needle will require moving some combination of Bobby/Brook/Pat/Middleton but obviously that entails a large risk of moving the needle in the wrong direction.

I doubt Delon is going to be much of an upgrade to Bev, but the other 2 are definite upgrades.

As Paul George would say, it was a bad shot...

Obviously everyone likes this, but we were pretty cooked without something miraculous like a player of Trents caliber turning down a decent sized contract, only to find the market dry up and be forced to take a vet min prove it deal next to Dame/Giannis. It's not out of question that he could have a Bruce Brown type impact for us

I'm hoping he morphs into our KCP. Hit open shots and play lockdown defense.

If we were the pre-Giannis Bucks we probably would have had cap space and had to give Trent like 4 for 80 to sign here. We have come a long way

Miraculous? This is just how Klutch does business.

Including GTJ negotiating himself out of a huge deal.

Horst has played the long game with Rich Paul to benefit. And if GTJ pulls a Bruce Brown or KCP in our system he will too.

This has prob been some of the worst few weeks of Trents life, it's pretty miraculous. That was an awful decision. Dude had to take a long look at himself in the mirror.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about I wasn't aware Horts had some sort of large connection with Klutch and the writing was on the wall for this

Trent's never been played off the floor in the playoffs, in spite of his offensive efficiency not being good overall (solid 3 pt%'es, but bad inside the arc). It's a sign his defense isn't a liability. Because Malik got played out of multiple rotations.

At worst this gives us flexibility. Trent does better against smaller g's from my understanding. On paper, that's a good match w/ Dame. If he's somehow regressed to permanent lackluster defender, there's always Wright. If you need to match a bigger guy who's a threat like Booker, maybe that's where Livingston/AJJ can come in. That applies to if you need more rebounding help too.

After this has happened, I might trade Bobby into space for relief & a 1st rounder, if you could subsequently get Achiuwa to sign here too. Otherwise I'd support some Bobby for athletic big configurations. But it's tough to trade for a player at the same position.

Rich Paul talked on some podcast earlier in the season about why he directed MarJon and Chris Livingston to the Bucks for developmental purposes even though it meant less guaranteed money than if they had been taken earlier in the draft.

Taurean Prince signed this summer too.

Eric Bledsoe was our first major Klutch client (and Horst's first major transaction here) is probably where it started.

These are all upgrades. Not sure how Beasley -> Trent or Crowder -> Prince is even debatable. Better players and better fit. Beverly to Wright might be debatable on who's the better player but Wright will do his job and not be a pain in the ass and has better size to cover 2s and a backup combo guard. Better fit.

He most likely got assurances that he will be the Starter and playing close to 30mpg if I had to guess

Maybe there is something to Klutch basically using Giannis for contract negotiations when their clients value drops. Guys shoot better when they play next to Giannis. I just think Klutch are scumbags from what I've read

Its been a pretty good off-season considering their resources. It would've been nice to move off of Brook but you can't win 'em all.

I still expect a young guy to play Pat Connaughton out of the rotation entirely. If that happens, we have essentially a whole new group defending on the perimeter. That's cause for optimism.

This cast makes much more sense around our core. Need a young guy to hit

Are you saying you weren't a fan of trading Bledsoe for Jrue????????????

I just wonder how else we could have shipped the roster with all our draft picks/swaps and cap room. Could we have gotten a player that better aligned and fit with Giannis and his window?

I day dream about CP coming here in 2020 for a single first and junk.

CP is a loser, Jrue is a winner. Your team won a title. Time to wake up.
