Re: Summer League 2024
Sarr was infinitely better than this in the NBL.

Re: Summer League 2024
Good thing is that PBJ is in the game to make Saar look good. I know he made a layup with three steps but he's there to make shots.

It's good Sarr will understand what an uphill climb he has ahead of him. He's about to learn a lot about himself. Hopefully he responds well and puts in the work.

Sarr is looking good defensively. Better on the glass today, blocking shots.
At some point, he’ll make a shot, right?

Re: Summer League 2024
Sarr’s defense/rim protection has been great in this game. His offense is a disaster.
Carrington just played one of the least impactful halves of basketball I have seen from a lottery pick. He simply doesn’t put any pressure on a defense/get into the paint. Norwell has been a better facilitator.

Re: Summer League 2024
So I'm watching that last turnover by Ky George and seeing that Saar is jogging up the court, not beating the bigger, slower Clingan and he's not making himself more of a target when Clingan comes to help on a drive. There a lot of fundamental things he needs to work on mainly on offense, but heart, toughness and want to is something that has is my main concern. Shooting will get better and I know he wants to be a 4. But you need to have some of that coming into this league. Motor is one of the questions I heard about. At least he has that on defense when it comes to blocking shots on help D. Offensively, he has miles to go, but 10 pounds won't hurt because he's getting pushed around way too easily by smaller players.

Ok, he sucked. Saar, also a lottery pick, has been putrid at times. Sh-t happens. But that's a bit of hyperbole considering we've had Johnny Davis and Jan Veseley.

Re: Summer League 2024
Sarr has altered a ton of shots at the rim and been extremely effective defensively.
I’d like to see him play with a real PG for an extended stretch.

Re: Summer League 2024
I know he makes a ton of mistakes, but I'm starting to like Ky George a lot more. He's not 18 like Bub, but has a lot of room for growth. He does have a smooth shot and of course, the length is there.

Sarr is a beast on D and hilarious on offense

Re: Summer League 2024
I wanna see Carrington get aggressive and take a ton of shots. He defers too much to this garbage roster.

Re: Summer League 2024
The Wiz knew what they are getting. I'm not sure allowing to take a million perimeter shots in SL when he's not ready is the answer or he'll at least do his due diligence and work hard on his offensive game. It's not even just working on it. It's playing within the team game. You don't have to score 20 points just because you're the 2nd round pick.

Re: Summer League 2024
But seriously, this is Vesely-like though at least he could dunk. How can you be 7-1 with length and athletic ability and go 0-for-11.
