I see your problem now:
If you think RD missed three uncontested layups, then your sense of perception is absolutely managed.
Or show me these three uncontested layups and prove me wrong.
You want me to pick through the time codes of a game that went two and a half hours to show you that 3 of the missed 7 shots were uncontested? Does anyone have a shot map resource for Summer League? I can tell you off the top of my head one was a putback at the rim RD was in the air with no up there with him, he missed it badly. Another was off the dribble, he got to the rim past his defender and missed off the far side rim (backboard, rim, off.) The third I am drawing a blank on, but I remember thinking, damn we need someone to teach these kids how to do a layup. I am pretty sure the third was also off the dribble, but honestly I don’t remember it as clearly.
He missed one layup he should’ve made, but they were all contested.
He missed zero 1 on 0, ie uncontested layups. Zero.
Your bias is clear.
I figured it out. The game log on NBA.com records every possession/shot attempt/ect… I can now give you time codes. What I cannot give you (I apologize,) is a video to embed so you need the game DVRed like I have to actually watch it. Maybe espn on demand will have a replay, I don’t know. I hope you can find a way to watch so we can have an honest discussion instead of you continuing to insult me.
2nd quarter 8:25 Dilly goes in transition 2 on one, neither man jumps Dilly has a wide open layup and misses.
2nd quarter 1:38-1:35 after Dilly misses a floater he gets inside gets his own miss and is in the air with both hands on the ball and fails to put it back. NBA.com calls it a tip layup, but it wasn’t a tip as he had two hands on the ball and the ball under control.
1st quarter 4:04, this one is the least uncontested of the 3. Dilly is driving on the big and has space, but he goes a little early and the big jumps to try and block it. It is further out than a traditional layup, at 11 feet (according to NBA.com,) but in the video it looks a lot closer and functions like a layup. If I was to concede one of the three it would be this one.
