Will never forget the night of the trade. Closed up the restaurant and I was waiting at the red light at the Port Union 401 exit, and this JYD guy is on the FAN, as he drives himself from Detroit to Toronto. He was just incredibly excited to get over here and get started.

I knew we had a good one right then

Masai featured on Bloomberg

Without watching the video, my first thought was..

Why? Is he involved with some kind of Air Coin?

When we got PJ Tucker at the deadline, he went through hell to fly from the west coast to Toronto immediately after the trade to get to our next game (against the Celtics). Didn't sleep for 24 hours, IIRC.

We ended up winning that game despite the absence of Lowry, thanks in large part to PJ's performance. He had 10 rebounds and hit some big shots down the stretch.

Some guys are just wired differently.

Interesting to see the Raptors branding on the Giants of Africa equipment. Kids coming from that system are probably fed a decent dose of Raptors indoctrination.

If we're going role player list, JYD would be up there, sure, but you got the wrong Williams up top, Alvin would be ahead of Jerome. :)
