HERE COME THE FEVER!

The fact they can continue to be down big and make comebacks is remarkable.

Tough to lose to the Wings while the Sky beat the Aces earlier this week. Wings just played real well man.

Monster offensive game from CC. They need a real 3 & D player - Lexie made some bad plays on offense and she hasn't been able to hit a 3. Another

The Fever must, must, must get new forwards. You can't win with Smith and Samuelson, because they don't defend AT ALL. Having them on the court puts too much demand on the offense. They are always trading baskets, as Thibs would say.

Also, while I have resisted blaming Clark's teammates for her turnovers, because she does make a lot of sloppy passes, she was credited for 2 turnovers today for passes that went directly into Smith's hands, and not hard either. Smith fumbled the ball and then Clark officially got the blame.

Couldn't agree more with all of that. Stinks to go into the break with a loss to a last place team that's only won two of its last 19 games. Any given Sunday, I guess, but this team has no defense.

Good for CC setting the new WNBA assists record with 19. Crazy.

Twitter rumors were flying for Cheryl Miller to coach the Indiana Fever after she's been announced to coach the WNBA All-Stars this weekend against TEAM USA.

She hasn't coached in a long time I saw. is it just fun twitter talk (I'm guessing it is) or is she a solid coach candidate to take the team to the next level.

I am 100% ok with having Smith come off the bench after the break when everyone is fully rested and healthy, because I think Temi Fagbenle can do all of the same things Smith can do except she is a better defender and has a higher BBIQ (in my opinion). I still like Lexie Hull and think she is one of the better perimeter defenders out there, but yeah she definitely needs to offer something more on offense if she's going to play high minutes. Also, I think Dantas needs to take Katie Lou's minutes if her play doesn't improve because even if Dantas isn't the greatest defender either she is a lot bigger than KLS and honestly has been shooting better too.

She doesn't have much coaching experience, does she? I like Cheryl Miller, but I'm not sure I'd feel real confident about her getting the position.

Regarding tonight's game, I was glad to see Hull out there, but she didn't really slow Dallas down, and I kept thinking "Lexie, you aren't out there for your offense". Hate the thought of chewing on this game for the next month. Oh well, it is what it is, as they say.

I was calling for more Hull, but I have to admit, I look to be wrong. She has been brutal on offense. She can't create her own shot or set up others, which for me is shocking given that she is a guard who was a #6 pick. I mean, that's a mighty high selection for a 3&D player. And she's not making her 3s these days, either.

She coached very little at USC in the 90s & PHX Mercury when the league started. I always liked her as a basketball mind and hearing her commentary. just not sure about her coaching skills.

Fever probably could have used Becky Hammon if the Aces never swooped her up.

Not sure of the exact total, but scored or assisted on something upwards of 65 pts out of their 92. That is an absolutely absurd number.

Edit: Clark scored or assisted on 66 points for the Fever, the most in a game in WNBA history. That surpasses a 65-point effort from Diana Taurasi on Aug. 10, 2006.
