Pat is the most important person for this franchise. Helped brought the Magic to Orlando. Got us 3 number 1 picks too

Damn, I had heard that he was in the hospital, but I was hoping he'd pull through...

Rest easy now, Mr. Williams. By all accounts you lived a blessed life, and contributed so much to the community and Magic Fans everywhere. Without you the Orlando Magic as we know it today would not exist. Condolences to his family and friends.

He changed perceptions about Orlando for those who lived here and elsewhere at a time when the idea of bringing an professional sports franchise to the city was crazy talk.

He is, without question, the Father of this franchise. The court should be permanently re-named after Pat Williams. I hope they are working on a statute of him now. A sad day, but what a difference he made in this world for so many of us.
