I’d support Kamala at the head of the ticket over Biden and I don’t even like Kamala very much. But at least she can articulate an idea clearly. I think she’d have a better chance in the debate to turn the tide than Biden
Another thing is she could come out and say she prefers to stay in her role as VP. Her name is still on the ticket, sure some people would get mad but what are they gonna do? Stay home? Vote for Trump? March yourself into one of those mass detention camps early to save time? The Dems need to worry less about optics and more about winning at all costs before they all get operation hummingbird’ed

Well the signs last night only said “mass deportation now” or whatever, but that’s logistically impossible without the other thing I said, and well, history of autocratic regimes show it never stops at the first targeted group

Completely agree was just joking that mentioning those words would awaken the right of the forum from their slumber

Trump's former director of PPO John Mcentee. Who got promoted to the position from being Trump's bag carrying assistant. Mcentee from his own words in an interview, said he got the position from reviewing Trump's schedule with Trump. Trump when the PPO meeting was brought up on his schedule. Trump wasn't trying to deal with them as they always gave him problems. Then asked Mcentee if he could handle that despite not having the qualifications.
Mcentee who holds white nationalist views, was then put in charge of Whitehouse personnel. Mcentee then proceeded to vet any employee that didn't hold absolute loyalty to the Trump and the cause. Not necessarily based on their level of qualifications. This experience and idealism has then lead to Mcentee creating the Schedule F portion out of the Project 2025 playbook.
These same people will target diversity though claiming the "best people" aren't getting hired.
Trump somehow isn't racist, but gives white nationalist like Steve Bannon advisory roles and promotes white nationalist to positions of power that could effect the landscape of government.

What happens if Biden steps down and the polls don’t change with Harris? The Republicans will attack Harris as a DEI President, the media will treat her exactly like they treated Hillary, the mostly white pundits calling for Biden to step down will ultimately pivot Harris’ electability and the Progressive media will call her a cop. There’s a good chance the polls won’t change that much in the short term because polling is completely broken and the freak out will continue while more time is wasted infighting instead of going after Republicans and turning out Democratic voters. It’s a high stakes gamble that could backfire if it’s not well thought out.

Don't forget Stephen "Can We Blow Up Migrant Boats With Drones?" Miller. When even a shtbag like that is reportedly trying to distance himself from 2025, maybe you've gone to far.

I think it's a better gamble than thinking Biden can convince voters he's not old. Give yourself a puncher's chance at least.

The gamble is actually that Biden won't have another senior moment and force Democrat's to make a move an even worse point in the race. And yeah I do think the best play for whoever replaces him would to have someone who can attack Trump for all his faults.

“What happens if Biden steps down and the polls don’t change with Harris? The Republicans will attack Harris as a DEI President”
Of course they will, it’s a racist attack line and won’t work very well with people outside their base anyway. Meanwhile look at the pile of ammo and talking points they have against Biden, and it’s way more impactful than DEI aka the new n word. Just to look at Biden struggle to speak drives people away.
“the mostly white pundits calling for Biden to step down will ultimately pivot Harris’ electability and the Progressive media will call her a cop.”
I’m one of the people who calls her a cop and I’d still vote for her. Some obviously would still refuse because they’d never vote for Dems anyway. But I think “she’s a cop” it’s going to be less impactful than the damage “genocide Joe” rhetoric has done and continues to do. There are people who will never vote for him just based on that, a lot of them are in states he needs to win like Michigan
“ It’s a high stakes gamble that could backfire if it’s not well thought out.”
It’s not a sure thing by any means but I think it’s the best chance to win. That’s all I care about. My confidence that Biden will win is very low. The party leaders and their internal polling seem to agree. So why not try something to turn the tide? You can’t just keep sleepwalking into the void. There’s another debate. I don’t think I can bear to watch it if he’s in it again.

What is absolutely fire is that it was prophecied this would happen 4 months ago.
And that Trump will be mightily used by God! This world is temporary but the Spirit is eternal!
