I think the fight is over too. The way Sukuna wakes up looking like Yujikuna was a direct parallel to when Gojo died and woke up in the airport to Geto greeting him. I think that Yuji is telling him it's time for them to go.

The fight will probably age better reading it in one go, but the Shinjuku Showdown went to hell once Gojo died, with some cool moments here and there but the amount of ass pulls by Sukuna took me out of the story. Binding vows and "I haven't used this technique since the Heian Era" became old really quick.
