I'd look at Russ for a lot of the non-jokic minutes. Surround him with guys like Braun, Gordon, MPJ. Athletic squad who can run and shoot and he will put up his numbers and make a big impact.

There are no shooter around him. Denver was dead last in three pointers attempted per game last year. Losing KCP, one of the least reluctant shooters on a team of reluctant shooters and adding Westbrook does nothing to help this. It makes it worse.

It's funny. Just 1 year and 1 months ago, ago Westbrook was supposedly soo good for the Clippers and the Lakers just misused him.

Yeah, he's so valuable to the Clippers that they traded him for a 2nd round pick swap and cash. It appears the Clippers did not value him very high. They didn't even want a 2nd round pick. a swap was enough

So I guess this is another season where Jalen Pickett just isn’t going to play or have a chance to develop.

For a team that’s capped out and has a cheap ownership group they NEED these second round picks they’re spending on older college players to turn into rotation players to remain competitors.

If Denver is signing up for a future where they only have like 5 real NBA players on the roster and then is going to try to fill the gaps with washed up vets I don’t see them contending for titles.

Hitting on late picks to be nice but Jalen Pickett isn’t happening and it’s smart they aren’t banking on him. Honestly I’m pretty down on any of Denver’s recent draft picks turning into good rotation players with Holmes being the exception

Westbrook has been like this his entire career. Love the energy he brings, but man he's hard to watch in the playoffs.

Russ should be on a team with no expectations so he can continue to feel up the stat sheet and retire as one of the best triple dub pg's to ever play. He's not a winning player for contending teams.

He's a upgrade sure. But he's also a downgrade when the playoffs start. He is known to be a huge momentum killer. The guy can go on a run by himself and take teams out of the game. If he gets benched he catches an attitude. That's not someone I would want on my team if I was chasing a championship.

Denver need a huge ascension from one of Braun, Watson and Strawther to stay among the elite teams in the West. In my opinion, the Thunder, Mavs, and Wolves are all going to be better next year. Their 3 pt shooting and perimeter deference will be a lot worse next year, and it will need to be offset by some much-improved bench play.

I think it worked out fine in LA. With everyone down in 2023 he put up 23/7/7. Poor efficiency but what you expecting for a buyout candidate? Close to minimum last year, was pretty good in the regular season but did have a rough few post season games

Denver has taken the wait and see approach. I don't really think it's best, but they need talent to prove themselves, and others to work on improving their value. We'll see how they handle the season until the trade deadline.
