I do think it is hilarious that we are just the team that buys out Westbrook now (second time in 15 months).

They're developing a great working relationship.
He'll have the honor of being released twice by the same team.

He just keeps showing up, collecting a buyout check, and leaving

There just isn't a whole lot of teams needing/wanting to drop salary this offseason. I'd argue other than a handful of contracts, the league has a pretty healthy contract situation.

They are barely eating any of it.
“Cash considerations”.
Last time I checked you can send a maximum of three million in that sort of deal. Russ opted in for four this season. That means basically this is a favor done in the end and the balance will likely get made up later.
Jazz are simply taking a four million hit on their cap to doing the signing part of Dunn and get him to LAC within the ok salary range.

Ainge restocking the Goodwill cabinet after blowing it all in the Gobert trade.

The cap hit is really what I'm talking about.

Instead, we had to settle for... a 2030 swap in the second.
On the plus side, second round pick swaps are now a thing.
