Let’s see how training camp goes and I definitely wouldn’t count out AJ Johnson not playing except in blowouts. Him playing with Dame and Giannis with his speed handles and no fear to shoot the ball can be a dangerous player for us even this year.

I don't know how you can give him usage with the first team at all. AJ needs minutes with the ball in his hands getting experience running an offense. Dame and Giannis need to be soaking that usage up for the first team. I think that it is in his best interest to get a lot of time with the Herd.

I don't even know who 30 is but he is making this kid on the Suns look like a hall of famer.

I’m irrationally mad after this game. It’s summer league, I need to chill.

With his recent play, I wouldn’t be shocked if Livingston is above or at least tied with Ajax in the young guy pecking order.

He’s the biggest surprise of summer league

On a positive note, I think both our rookies can shoot.

AJ has pretty soft touch from outside. A number of his misses have tapped the multiple times and bounced out.

AJ and Livingston were fun and are potential 2025 and beyond guys. Tyler Smith gets a mulligan. That's.....about it. Rest of these scrubs have no future with the team whatsoever.

Rollins has some potential for an AJ Green comeup. Agree on the rest of it.

Smith has a ton of work to do defensively. Not all that encouraged with his awareness or activity level on that end, but hopefully playing in a more functional environment with actual bigs will help bring him along.

AJ is at 22 minutes. It’s your summer league team, why not play your guys heavier minutes? Give them more exposure.

We're not playing to win, and we're not playing to get our guys reps, so why are we playing?

ETA: I guess there is a game tomorrow, my guess is Livingston doesn't suit up for that one.

Not true, Vin Baker will be back with the SL team next year.

I don't see it with Rollins. Mediocre sized guard and athlete who's a mediocre-to-poor distance shooter. He tries on defense but isn't really a good defender. He's fine on a two-way but I think he's kinda already maxed his potential. I guess we haven't seen Umude yet, but I wouldn't care if we just completely purge the two-way spots for all new guys.

I'm surprised that some of you are out on AJax. Marjon I get, but AJax knows ball and he's going to be a contributor to a winner. It's just a matter of whether Doc will let him grow here.

Okay, yeah, it must be about tomorrow.

But still just give our guys reps. It’s a 5 game summer league, and they can manage a back to back. Their legs can’t possibly be that heavy.

I just don’t get it.

Dont think many are out on Ajax. Pretty easy to see how he could help our NBA team

Thank you! I was waiting for someone to say this. The ppgz fans aren't going to like him right away because he's got to do the all around stuff like AK47 or PJ. If Doc has some sense, doubt he does, he gets AJJ in there regularly for screens, cuts, fast breaks, hustle, dunks, energy, D, etc in a backup role at least. A guy that can contribute in many ways without the ball (anti KM) is EXACTLY what this team needs but the starters have to learn how to use him and play with him.

Fire Horst for putting together these summer league teams (mostly kidding). He's from the school of John Hammond. Loves skinny length w/out much i.q or skill behind it often times. Don't give him an oppo to put together a team of them.

There's plenty more there w/ Magic, so that's a nice change, but he's not close to ready in all likelihood. He should spend the year getting reps between the Herd & in garbage time w/ the big club. He's getting ripped too easily & not reading the lurking defender.

Can we set a screen for the ballhandler when they're pressing fullcourt? It's sink or swim, often in the halfcourt too.

There's always a lot of talk about o & d, little boards/loose balls. If you can't do the latter you can't win. They got 20 more shots than the Bucks & those are subsequently open shots for them not you. It's over half the story. Get dudes who can hunt & snatch.

He's provided a lift in energy and cohesion everytime he enters a game. Doc prefers older dudes and buried him end of last year and it F'd us against Indy where we needed his energy but didn't have continuity with the starters because of Doc.
