you also have to remember that even if we give precious a bloated contract for a S&T his tradable salary will only count half his real salary. I think if we give him say 10 MM a year only 5 would count as tradable salary.

Mitch would have to go out in any trade. Not sure its worth it.

Also Brook Lopez is on an expiring deal so not an ideal contract to acquire for us.

randle for Draymond + 2 frps

Ultimately I don't think we can trust Draymond but I'd also thought of a deal around Draymond, Moody and a couple firsts.

Draymond would be great as a small-ball 5, giving us two different looks defensively. I just have the impression his career is on the verge of precipice with his increasingly unhinged behavior and activity in media.

A) I just hate current Draymond. He is all mouth, no ball. When his team is losing, he pouts and gets tossed so it looks like the team is better with him.

B) Funnel on defense does not work with Draymond, that's why the Warriors haven't won without Bogut or a Bogut type.

C) Green gets the benefit of Warriors Whistle. Here he'd be tossed out during warm ups and when he did see the court, he'd get 6 personals and an arrest by the end of the 1st.

What is Bogut doing? Is he still alive?

For an all-nba player, I would want lively not that slop

We add a huge amount of defense going from Randle to Gafford and PJ and the two of them can easily add the 24 points we would lose with Randle. Then of course still have plenty of scoring with Brunson, Mikal, OG and Divo.

I am not even on the trade Randle train but, who do people think we're gonna get for him? We have to send out multiple players and picks to get KAT? That leaves more holes than we have now and we lose picks. Do people wanna give him 5/310?

I'm on the trust Leon side of things. If Randle wants to be here, 4/190 is the path he should take. If he doesn't wanna take that extension, things get dicey. 40+ million a year is insane money. Winning in NYC will make you a legend that people will talk about for the next 50 years. Ewing/Houston/Starks/LJ etc are legends who never won a damn thing here. At some point the money gets in the way of common sense.
