Yeah idk what dudes are smoking. Thats why I think the only way Deuce/Kolek play together is in limited minutes or with Divo at the 3 or something.

Kolek's minutes will only be situation with Terry Johnson on the team.

Look at it in the 3 player lineup. Brunson/Deuce/Divo together had a -7.5 net rating in the playoffs. We're too small to make that work.

Yeah maybe so.

But point was they did do it.

Regular season it was better..

Thibs did it but it was cause of a worst case scenario since everyone was hurt lol

It was better in the regular season, but we all know the playoffs is a different animal. Imo, i would just prefer not to use Donte at the 3. I think he is just way too small. We're just gonna have to develop Kolek in the G league for now.

Anyone here think that Hukporti can be serviceable at some point this season?

We actually could be very encouraged by the center play from the Knicks this SL, both of these guys have performed and produced in the difficult conditions of the guard/wing focused pick up feel of the games.

Skap looks closer to being a back up center for Thibs yet both kind of do have the make up of a guy who can play for coach. I would be all for the interesting story of the hard work to get into the league culminates in his prime years being one of the most memorable and crucial role playing back center of epic NY Knicks teams we all get to enjoy....but I won't get my hopes up. It's only SL.

Kolek looks like he's going to have the bench unit humming at a level that doesn't even make sense...him, Deuce, Divo, Hart and Skap(Precious?) shouldn't be slapping other NBA benches as hard as these guys do. No, I'm not allowed to dream that, it's not Knicksy enough so again I won't get my hopes up. It's only SL.

Pac is not that far away, seriously, if he was hitting his 3s at the clip he left off his recent euro play he'd really pop as a prospect but that wouldn't change the fact he's still an 18 year kid with quite a bit of development to do.

If Pac can figure out his place as a wing player that generates offense without the ball in his hands but through his movement he can be a high level impact role player of the offensive variety and has enough defensive awareness, instincts and agility to not be liability on that end in a team setting. We'd love for a big change of pace wing to fit into the forward rotation off the bench of epic Knicks teams in a year or two. Again, it's only SL so I won't get my hopes up.

Rokas has gotten stronger as the league has gone along but I still don't see a path to him getting any real time on the floor for the Knicks in regular season games. He's got some interesting skills on both ends of the court but more of a combo guard with some nice passing skills.

Hukporti and Dadiet are long term pieces if they are going to ever contribute, obviously with different cielings though and whatnot. Kolek is experienced and mature enough to play as a rookie even giving us some exciting flashes of what more could he become.

If the Basketball gods have any sense of justice they will just let Skap be everything the Knicks need him to be, just a lighting bolt of circumstance revelation...or something.

As much as I love Kolek I don't see him playing this year at all unless something really bad happens.

I'm not sure what to make of him. He has a little more polish on offense than Sims, but he seems a little slow footed and not a rim protector.

Skep has the height to protect the rim, but even the SL stuff, where he looked good, you can kind of see why he's not on an NBA roster, defensively/rebounding wise. A shame, because he has a nice all around offensive game and understands the P&R well.

Either guy might be able to supplant Sims as the 3rd C.

At least the Knicks are building up that organizational depth to be able to make moves.

Payne, Deuce, Sims, Rokas, Kolek, McCullar, Skep, Hukporti - all there to fill out 10-17 on the roster, but also be used in peripheral upgrade trades.

I only watched the highlights from the last two and it looked like Hukporti was active on both ends. I guess I’ve tired of Sims.

Skep looks good too though I see Thibs wanting a veteran to back up Mitch.

I actually tuned in for the Pistons game. The biggest thing I saw was Kolek all-of-a-sudden transforming into iso-Brunson in the clutch with two ice-cold buckets under 2 minutes to stop the Pistons comeback. Particularly impressive since he didn't try to score or iso the entire game before that.

IDK if he makes the rotation, but you can see why the Knicks drafted him. He'll be the perfect understudy to Brunson.

Dmytro Skapintsev Dominates. the Court.

However, the star of the game was Dmytro Skapintsev, a former undrafted player who has spent two years with the Westchester Knicks. In just 21 minutes, Skapintsev produced 17 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks, shooting 6-10 from the field. His performance not only topped the team’s scoring and rebounding charts but also contributed a team-high +6 in the plus/minus column.

I need to see more of him, he's has solid tools/measurables but seems a little too raw right now. I like the other guy - forget his name - the big white dude who's has been putting up 17-10-2 block statlines.
