Jaime Jacquez is a nice role player who was great value as a late first, but nobody in the top 5 is kicking themselves for not taking him.

And Dalton is entering the league 60 days younger than Jaquez. For clarity- he’s 60 days younger than Jaquez is NOW.

That’s a huge factor because it impacts upside.

Taking Dalton 5th as a 14 win team would have been a mistake. He makes sense for a team that has core pieces in place.

It’s one thing to question our own front office. I get it. Were used to our teams making obvious mistakes. But it’s another when posters claim to know more than half of the league’s front offices.

Yeah, I know he wasn't a Top 5. People would say "Jaime is a 4-yr old player" baloney.

So many said "high floor, low ceiling" for Tyler Haliburton and Keegan Murray and before someone replies with the expected, Ivey cried his way out of being drafted by Sacramento. When he tried "PR", the best he could say was, "Well, being drafted by Sacramento wouldn't be the worst thing"

Haliburton was still only 20 years old coming into the league tho. Tho I'd day the jury is still out on Murray.

He didn't go top 5 though. He's also on the Heat.

I'd trade Holland for him in a heart beat.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

If you could trade Ivey for Murray, would you do it? I'd guess almost everyone would.

Success on the Heat doesn't mean success on the Pistons. Not alot of players actually leave the Heat and success somewhere else either.

Yes I would for fit, but I don't expect Murray to be a star.

But Holland would be on the Heat and they could work their magic.

Well then who'll look stupid in that trade?
