Black sprained an ankle.
I would have played TDS and Jett though.
I think Kel'el Ware almost played every game for the Heat in both leagues and you can see the guy get better and better. Jett and TDS at least should have been given the reigns and see how they develop.

Provin Ya'll Wrong!!!

Rob Dillingham, GG Jackson , Ware and a lot of other guys and teams ran deep into the Summer League smh. It’s not really a big deal but it also kinda is. It just feels like it’s the “Magic Culture “ to make you scratch your head and say hmm.
I understand it’s Summer League and the games don’t count for the guys we want to see. It just feels like it’s waisted time for the guys to gain some chemistry. I just see to many things that make me scratch my head with the front office and wonder why we always have to feel so different.

I feel the same. Other teams are playing (some of) their main guys throughout the tournament, why wouldn't we? What do we gain as an organization by playing these relative scrubs over our young talent that actually matters? Between this, the avoiding making second round picks like the plague, and the lack of aggressive moves to improve the roster, I'd be surprised if Weltman doesn't have E.D. with how limp his approach is. That being said, with how well last season went and the young talent we have collected so far, I can't be too mad... for now.

The Magic do a lot of things that sacrifice entertainment value at the margins. No leaks/Magic insider, lame summer league strategy.

Big ol yawn this summer league. It's like we retired Black and the squad before they dominated and we know what we have.
Hope Black recovers well and is back at it.

Gotta save the guys so they can get ready to ride the bench all year… or better said, they practiced what they’ll actually be doing once the season starts: not playing.

I blame Weltman as well, but truth be told the cause of this issue is above Weltman’s head.
Lazy GM and Front Office = lazy ownership !!
I hear and know the DeVos family are very charitable and great people BUT just how bad do they really want to win a Championship? Thirty five years the only 2 consistent faces in this organization have been the DeVos family and Alex Martins. Just think about the cycle and the similarities in issues we’ve had throughout 35 years of history and ask yourself,” why does this keep happening?” It’s because ownership doesn’t see any problems. Maybe it’s also because a they turned a $32.5M into $1.85 BILLION!

I think Summer League matters because these are all guys who are fighting for a chance at the NBA.

The way I see it, is the games just dont have the value we as fans attach to it. There is a reason why star players are sat out games and fans riot and the NBA contemplates punishment whenever this is done.

This was an impressive sequence! Even though he's not in a Magic uniform, I'm rooting for the guy
