It's a bit worrisome that Suggs extension is not being announced yet. The 2 sides must be far apart on price.

They have until October to get it done.

And if it doesn't get done, he just goes into restricted free agency next summer and the Magic have matching rights. So I'm not too worried about it.

I'm not worried about if we sign him. We will but for how much. This shows he probably wants much more and maybe even near max. As much as I love Suggs but he is a unreliable role player on offense and I'm not sure if he got big upside on that side with his shaky ballhandling/low end starting PG vision in the half court.

He is core player but we dont built around him. His role on a good team is basically what KCP did for Lakers and Nuggets. We just got KCP in his prime for 22M.
There are players like him available even in free agency. There are no players like Franz or Paolo available.

I wouldn't say that. Impact stats, from what I've seen, heavily support Franz getting a max. They are relatively indifferent to Suggs. I think there is a huge gap between the two.

So, I am mainly looking at WS/48 and BPM combined with high VORP, based on which neither of them is max player. What stats do you use?

yea a 5 yr like mcdaniels would be awsome for magic..but see him getting a bit more but for sure hope same ballpark

As a matter of fact I just went back and looked at last year's vest points. I didn't realize that AB had more sweater vest points than Gary and Cole combined.

He can demand a trade but we don’t have to send him to Seattle. They will be in a rebuilt so I doubt they would have players or assets that we want.
