Bit bummed Vezenkov left after a tough first season. I'm sure Darko would have made use of him here. I still don't understand why he gets any buyout money. It should be a big fat ZERO.

EDIT: It is a big fat zero!

JFL has some fans here. He lost me with the tunnel vision though. He could be so much more. Not gonna lose sleep over this.

Not sure why this is a surprise. Masai held all the leverage here. The only way Masai was going to free Vezenkov was if he left all his money on the table. Masai was never going to take on dead money before the season even starts just because Vezenkov really wanted to go back to Greece.

What incentive was there for the team to waive Vezenkov? That buyout number better be super low otherwise, this FO just became a joke. A pushover.

EDIT: if buyout # is indeed $0 then move at least kinda makes sense. When the dude's under a contract but wants to go somewhere else, you have to make him show how much. So hope that's true.

6.4 mil davion mitchell for $4.7 mil mcdaniels

plus 45 and portland 2nd

basically got 2 picks for adding $1.8 mil.

I really wish we signed Trent Jr with whatever remaining cap we had left before the tax since he signed for the minimum anyways. We can still sign some good players like Fultz/Tyus Jones hopefully.

The Toronto Raptors announced that they waive forward Sasha Vezenkov. The former EuroLeague MVP is expected to sign a five-year deal to return to Olympiacos Piraeus.

The Kings couldn't risk playing russian roulette with him by hoping he'd bolt. The Raps could, they had the leverage to wait it out because his salary didn't mean much to them this season.
