Raptors will have preseason in Malaga Spain this year

In historical fashion, the Toronto Raptors decided to make their preseason in Europe, deciding to prepare for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season in Malaga according to Diario SUR. Since mid-August, the 2019 NBA Champions will be in the South of Spain. Sasha Vezenkov, whose future is still unclear between the NBA and a potential return to Europe with Olympiacos, could also be present in Malaga in less than one month. – via EuroHoops.net

This is exciting because for me this is the first time I see a real Darko vision. Early camp work in August is great, being in Spain away from distractions, and maybe do some team building.

If it convinces Sasha even better, but all in all this is a new move. Usually camp stuff happens in September not mid August.

This is very interesting news. I never heard of any NBA team doing training camps in August. Could it also be that Kelly and RJ will be close by and be heading straight to Spain after the Olympics as well? NBA training camps don't begin officially until mid September, where the official media day opens the camp.
