I heard it suggested that he had a spot locked up somewhere to not get more run after that, we will see.

Edit: Also JD Davison was 59/55 FG/3PT% and got a collective meh from the board here. I think he is weak on D, but got to give a little credit where credit due, his shot looks much better than it did.

Ramsey was solid, but I feel like he is built for summer league. Probably would have scored 40 in one of the games if he had played enough minutes. It would have put him on this list of the Greatest Scoring Performances in NBA Summer League History

Davison shot well. I do hope we bring him to training camp so we can see whether or not it was fluky. But he was just overall underwhelming, when in theory he should have been dominating. Were also at least a couple plays where he had a guy wide open but either he didn't see it or it took him a moment or two to notice it. That's not cool where his biggest calling cards are supposed to be court vision & passing ability.

Only 9 3PA. That's like nothing..

I am not high On JD.. His defense isn't so weak as just not strong.. He improved his shooting some but who knows what he can do in the NBA level.. But it his penchant for Dribbling too much is just bad fit for most teams but even more so when we have many ball needy stars who can do it better.. Just my Opinion.

Ramsey > JD IMO for a roster spot.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Yeah, Ramsey over JD.

Ramsey has something that the Cs need, an instant spark off the bench.

Sure a 4 game sample size is too small no matter what but as I said above compare what his shot looks like to a summer or two prior.

My point is it’s fair to credit his shot looking like it has potential where it initially didn’t look particularly passable and it’s fair to give credit for that. Reference above where he is supposed to be dominating, whereas he’s still on average younger than the competition there (Charlotte eg had 12/18 guys 24 years or older).

In other words if we are going to give “young” Brandon Miller credit for being way too good for SL and yawn at JD I think there’s a lot less evidence for those positions than people think.

I guess this is what I’m pushing back on a little bit, just some imo a little bit over heated expectations.

Kid has been around awhile but he’s still 21. The Heat eg that won a bunch of games, he would have been the third youngest guy on that team, which was almost exclusively dudes 23-25 years old.

Final Celtics Summer League Notes and Takeaways
The Celtics didn't fare well as a team at Summer League, headlined by Jordan Walsh's struggles, but there were multiple silver linings.
