I know Thibs won't do it, but with OG able to defend C's for small stretches, would like to see this for 10 mpg:

Deuce
Donte
Bridges
Randle
OG

or

Brunson
Deuce
Bridges
Randle
OG

For a team like Boston especially, if Thibbs isn’t interested in using OG as the 5, I definitely like the versatility of Precious at that stretch minutes.

Thibbs has come out and said he doesn’t view Precious as a 5, but to avoid OG taking on a 5, the switch-ability of a lineup consisting of Mikal/OG/Randle/Precious can really do some damage. All can get a hand up/move quickly around the perimeter during those P&P(op) scenarios.

With that said --I think that makes me the most objective. I can look at the team from a fit and need stand point and unfortunately-
Randle is the only asset that makes sense moving. If we are going to win it all we must strengthen our center position. Randle
is a luxury from the big picture point of view.

12-2 in the first 14 games he, OG, and Brunson played together. Instant success. Now, we just picked up another player, Mikal, who makes Randle's life even easier. I like the fit. No other team in the EC has a PF who can handle Randle. He gives us a dimension that other teams don't have.

I think if you’re gonna use a 14 game sample size then you should acknowledge all the doubts that have accumulated from the previous years.

As in, you know, Julius Randle showed a lot of issues with defense, leadership, effort, playoff failures, clutch play and selfishness with the Knicks these past few years, but based upon a 14 game sample size last year after OG was traded to our team, all my doubts have been dispelled and I choose to believe that he has magically turned the corner.

I’m talking about the chemistry amongst those players. It was clean right from the get go. I saw it with my own eyes. It’s going to work out great. Trust me.

That makes tow washed-up guards on the Sixers. Lowry and Jackson.

OG is closer to shooting guard than a center. He can guard small forwards and even a lot of power forwards but not a center. If I’m wrong about this someone let me know but I don’t think it’s realistic. Maybe he can help on one if he has to but that’s different than playing the position

he's had some moments against bigger guys like Embiid and Giannis.

For example I'm sure he could also play center against BOS (KP and Horford really aren't imposing bigs).

But that is not something you want to do for like 20 minutes a game....for small stretches it can probably work out especially if you have good rebounding forwards like Randle and/or Hart playing alongside that unit.

I couldn't agree more. What we saw even though a somewhat small sample size was EXTREMELY encouraging. Randle was also not trying to alpha bully ball to much and playing great team ball. Now you add Bridges to that mix and an OG that has better learned our system, and in theory it could easily be a championship contender. Easily.

My issue with Randle isn't being hopeful of his performance this season (though maybe a bit worried for the playoffs) but that he doesn't seem interested in signing a team favorable contract. What he asks for probably will be bigger than KATs contract for instance. So I am not sure on this piece and if it came down to it , I'd prefer 4 years of KAT vs 1 year of Randle.

I just want to mention Randle's change to be more trusting happened before the OG trade. Just looks better when you're winning.

Whatever change you think you saw will disappear.

Randle will consider himself auditioning for 5/310

We had a center we could count on during that stretch...Wingo...you didnt mention anything about center there...We have to have the center position filled - its a weakness we cant ignore IF we want to win it all. Can Randle guard Embiid?

No but Money Mitch can!

Love Mitch but what happens if he gets injured then who Wingo?

Right I don't know if Julius saw a shrink but you could see for the entire season (when he played) that his mental were on track. He had very few of the selfish emotional outbursts against officials or his teammates..he was focused and locked in for the most part.

Did aggo say 'Go get Huff' yet?

We just traded 5frps

And the best idea for completing the rest of the team is to go all-in on Randle.

We already have 3+ years of that idea in data in actual action.

Study that
