As expected, an exceedingly classy response by Deng toward Arenas' and Paul Pierce's comments.

Just watched the clip with Pierce's comments... why am I not surprised that Skip was involved?!
That being said, credit to Pierce for actually apologizing, not sure if the others did?

Fun statistic - for some reason, americans started getting shorter.
https://theweek.com/health/height-in-america-shorter-public-healthAmericans' heights have been on the decline since the late 1980s and the early 1990s, according to a study published in the journal eLife. In 1914, American men ranked third-tallest in the world, and women ranked fourth-tallest. Now, they have fallen to 37th-tallest for men and 42nd-tallest for women, after the two groups hit the American peak average height in 1996 and 1988, respectively. The study looked at growth trends for 187 countries between 1914 and 2014 and found that Dutch men and Latvian women had the tallest average height for that period.
Its very possible in 10 years that the US will no longer dominate basketball. Europe in particular is finally seeing grass roots development that is going to constantly churn out players. If those players are taller . . .
I immediately thought something like “yeah, it’s because we eat lots of processed trash pushed by mega corporations and they don’t” (at least not as much)
Then I thought…that’s just my bias. Then boom, the article almost immediately points at food/diet.
I’m sure older ways will die out with older generations in Europe too (ie - food quality, meal quality), so they’ll be right with us sooner or later.
The food culture and standards of our food industry are so well established in Europe, you'll have to wait for that probably longer than it takes out grandchildren to die for old age, and beyond that. On top of that, many nations offer tax funded, healthy school meals that are based on experts recommendations (food pyramid). The discourses around healthy food, cooking and dining are such a deep part of us.
