Not sure I am understanding Philly's roster creation.
PG: Tyrese Maxey / Kyle Lowry / Reggie Jackson
SG: Kelly Oubre Jr. / Eric Gordon / Jared McCain
SF: Paul George / Ricky Council IV
PF: Caleb Martin / Adem Bona / George
C: Joel Embiid / Andre Drummond / Bona

Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

I said the league’s number 1 goal.
The best way to do that would probably be through implementing a hard cap, but a second apron that’s more punitive seems like a good compromise between the league and player’s union.

The NBA is a distant second to the MLB. I’ve spent lifetime watching the MLB players union roll over management right and left. Years of trying to implement a salary scale, hard cap, soft cap, etc. The owners always lose. And if it ever looks like they might win on something, the union takes them to court to reverse it.
MLB barely has revenue sharing and their books are still closed. I don't think the victories for the MLBPA are as large as you think. MLB owners are idiots because they collude constantly and openly which is against anti-trust laws, and causes lawsuit losses.
However, NY, Boston and LAD are printing money and probably putting 20% back into their teams.
Per federal law, MLB is exempt from antitrust legislation.

I think Paul plays the 4 given his size, length, and age. Caleb and Oubre Jr are interchangeable at the 2/3 positions. They also have Kmart Jr on the roster who if he puts it together can be a knock off Obi Toppin. IMO, Their roster is honestly similar to NY without Randle if McCain can be a legit rotation sniper/playmaker, ala Miles McBride. Philly is missing an OG and Donte but Paul George could be a combo of both. Even if he is a little of both he can't make up for the combined shooting of those players.
The real issue in my opinion going forward is how will McCain and Maxey work on the floor together? This reminds me of Lillard/McCollum pairing. However, the M&M or M² nickname for the duo will sell like hotcakes.

Maxey is so much stronger and more athletic than McCollum ever was, with a near 6'8" wingspan. He can guard a lot of 2's no problem.

Dude, the 80s and 90s were long time ago. The MLBPA has been getting destroyed for a long time now.
Stand corrected on the revenues. Had thought MLB players were getting 56-58% and see that it is only about 50% (although 56% if you add in the minors).
Still though, the big name player agents have continued to escape salary caps like in the other big three sports.

Free agency is either a Max deal, mid level exception, or min deal in order to get that mid level the next year. Especially since they suddenly created these aprons and all the penalties... didn't they think it through before just agreeing to this? Contracts are going to only go to stars and scraps will be left for everyone else. I just want to see that one deal where a team gives a myles plumlee 52 mil over 4 years!
Same thing happens to a more extreme level in MLB.

Is that happening in basketball, though? Surely somebody's put together the salary data on it. At I glance I don't see anything striking. As long as it's easy for me to come up with a long list of recently signed guys off the top of my head (Hartenstein, Toppin, DeRozan, Quickley, Monk, KCP, Claxton), I'm not going to give these breathless claims much weight.

It's definitely an MLB and to a lesser extent NFL issue primarily.

Do it , and I will help you rebuild Detroit.
I love Darius , scouted him predraft. Hasn't found the right team yet.... Bucks need a 4 behind Khris and Giannis, Pat is not him. Prince too short, Smith too raw ... Bazley is the ONE we can get right now ... sign him Horst.

Do the Bucks even have a roster spot available?

I'm guessing we could give MarJon away if we want to open up a roster spot to just cut a bit of salary.
Not clear what exactly would get us beneath the 2nd apron but am sure that's a consideration too.
