But using it as a reason why getting middling picks is a path to a chip, that's a bit of a stretch. I'm happy to see how this season plays out, I'm excited to see all the new guys play and see what they can do. I don't expect it to be filled with wins, I just hope it's on the lower end.

And the question on Chicago having Giddey and Ball would be that bad?
Also, Hendricks from the Jazz looks pretty good, are they really trading away Makkanen for future instead of a position to compete this year (eg. trade for Wiggins)?

I would have the Jazz above us, and Chicago has the experience to be above us as well.

If the Jazz keep Markanen and the Bulls keep Lavine/Vuc, it's hard not to see both teams in the 8-14 range.

With the current draft lottery system in place all this jockeying for position seems a bit pointless. Look where it got us last year.

We’re clearly lottery bound so anything is possible. No sense anymore in truly being as bad as possible. That could be an extra painful way to net the 5th pick. Lol.

Except there is a point. Our 6th place finish has a 50% chance of a 7th or 8th pick, that is kind of the point. A team pulling out a 3% chance is not a reason to ignore getting better positioning. The odds were flattened, not flat. Taking a shot from half court can go in, but shooting it from the corner is better.

Probabilities trump outliers. Being pro/anti tank in this instance doesn't matter, numbers don't lie.
