If they have games in 4K I'm good with it. But I doubt it happens. It's interesting that NBC will be doing Tuesday night broadcasts. I wonder if that's all season or if it starts later.

Also waiting to see what the Bucks are going to do. I thought their deal with Bally's expired after this season but I can't find any confirmation. I think one reason they did some OTA games last season was as a test. The Suns do OTA and their own streaming service, something the Bucks might be interested in.

I also haven't heard anything more about Amazon buying into Bally's and streaming their games.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Barkley works for TNT, which you have to pay for either through cable or via Max.

I wish everything were on OTA networks but we crossed that bridge a long time ago.

Is this Zaslav propaganda preceding litigation, or did TNT actually do it?

Pretty sure it was said an offer match wasn't going to get it done for TNT. The league will probably still take the Amazon package.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some disputes over whether TNT truly matched the Amazon package. NBA has probably wanted to get in bed with Amazon for a while, and WBD burned some bridges with the NBA.

I always thought that, in the end, the NBA and WBD would find a way to carve out a small fourth package for TNT to keep them in the game and give them a reason to keep Inside the NBA going.

But if the contract gives TNT the right to match, it really doesn’t matter what the league thinks.

I thought Silver had said Amazon's streaming made it more valuable. But TNT streams on the Max app ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My ancient, ancient Plex server finally died, so I've spent some time this week setting up a NAS and a mini-pc with Docker on Debian (Linux).

I mostly know what I'm doing, but man my terminal skills are sorely lacking after a decade of not using them.

I moved my Plex server from a windows PC to my Raspberry PI 5. Working good so far but it can't transcode very well, which I really don't need it to.

You know they put some infrastructural **** in there that was literally impossible to match.

Was hoping Amazon would take over the Ballys deals. Back when it was Fox Sports you could get a reasonable package that let you watch all the different North, South, East, West, and Midwest channels to watch 2/3 of tge teams in the league games

As predicted, but I'm sure WBD will litigate this with the NBA. I'm not sure if they'll ultimately reach a compromise on the Amazon deal that'll cut out Amazon (less likely), or whether a 4th package will be agreed to (more likely). Zaslav is desperate to save face.

Here is what each network gets in the new NBA media rights deal:

Disney: NBA Finals, Christmas Day, ESPN games on Wednesdays, NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC and NBA Sunday showcase packages

NBCU: NBA Opening night, New Sunday night Primetime Games, Tuesday Regionalized Games, Peacock Games on Mondays and NBA All-Star Game.

Amazon: Emirates NBA Cup, SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament and Games on Thursday and Friday nights.

Amazon will also serve as a third-party global destination for NBA League Pass.

I can't be the only one who saw "Disney: NBA Finals" and immediately and loudly thought that meant the NBA Finals were going to stream on Disney+. I had COVID last week, give me a break.
