If nothing else happens I would give Muscala a 1+1 (team option) contract worth the full room mle. Unless a defacto tpe you could combine his contract with others at the tdl, so you gain more flexibility.

Why keep the room MLE open? You could sign Tyus Jones who is a good player and gives you someone of value to use in a future trade where you can combine that salary with others to get something done. Why let the salary space sit there empty unless you have no interest in improving the team short-term or long-term. Do you hate the idea of an OKC championship so much you want to minimize trade options and keep the team away from opportunities to improve? You can't use the MLE as room in a trade. You either sign someone so you can potentially use the contract at the deadline or you lose it.
I know Presti would rather waste it because he just wants a first round exit and doesn't care about winning championships. Presti is a piece of garbage who should have been fired when he traded for PG13. The idiot thought Hayward was an improvement when this board knew it was a tanking move. I suppose we could assume this board, on average, is in the top 5% IQ in the world and Presti is still highly intelligent, but not on par. I'd find that hard to believe. Given his education background I assume his IQ is high enough that, at best, two people on this board top him. Of course, IQ and education are not as strong of a correlation as woke, psychologically defined as viewing society as full of oppressors and victims, and low IQ. I have never taken Presti as being woke so always assumed his IQ was correlated with his education. Anyone care to argue Presti is low IQ? My contention is that he just lacks fortitude.

It's awesome because it could be so much worse. Imagine if OKC had to suffer with SGA/Sabonis/Luka as their big three. That was an option that Presti passed on even with someone, who he fired, suggested. How much would SGA/Luka suck? I love Presti because no one else can minimize an opportunity to win a championship like that illiterate noob.

Pretty sure tyus would want a bigger role.
Mr Thunder Nick wrote:Tyus Jones whom I give a lot of credit is no more in a position to ask a bigger role. When he will get the chance to play for a real contender, he will accept any role to be part of it. I would gladly see the Thunder signing TJ to a 2 year 16 Mio contract.
