Not sure why we'd be mentioned as having interest in Cam. Combo forward on a pretty big deal but really only a good 3pt shooter. I like the player, but not the fit. I honestly like da Silva more than Cam Johnson (and I DO like Johnson).

I'd revisit Claxton in January though. Also, Schroeder is an intriguing player on an expiring deal...let's see how the Olympics go for Germany. BRK is certainly open for business and should be unloading anything for picks and/or young players.

Yeah the difference is that this is the offseason and people are bitching about negotiations they have no clue about. Suggs is a starter and core of this team. He isn’t some injured redemption project eating up salary cap while he chills on the bench for 20-30 games a season.

This team isn’t a top defense without Suggs and is significantly worse with him traded for a role/bench player because people can’t wait a few months.

There are even threads started by Magic fans baiting people into thinking Jalen Green is somehow more valuable than Suggs. The answer is no. One contributes to wins and the other doesn’t.

He might be banking on himself this season and believes there is more to him than what we've seen to earn more than the current contract offer. and hey.... if he outplays that contract awesome. If it was the max, he would have signed next to franz.... but he's not that player and value still has to be proven. BUT ON THE DEFENSIVE end..... the guy is a freaking pitbull and i love it. I want to have that dog on my team and not face him because of some ill-advised or short-sighted trade. His name should NOT be brought up unless we are compiling for a superstar level trade offer. The backcourt will be not the typical... but that doesn't mean it won't be deadly in different ways
