Wizards-Lakers
Lakers get Brogdon, Valanciunas
Brogdon, Reaves, Vando, LeBron, Davis -- JHS, Christie, Knecht, Rui, Val
Lakers get a couple targets they've had their eye on, an upgrade of DLo and a backup C.
Wizards get DLo, Vincent, Wood, LAL28swap, LAC25SRP
Wizards get an unprotected swap option and SRP for taking back same salary but less talent.

Re: Wizards-Lakers
This trade is probably a little boring but I think it's realistic. Lakers are keen on Val, could trade for him now but it makes sense to wait to trade for Brogdon as a DLo upgrade (Lakers have monitored this since he went to Blazers) because salary matching is difficult above 1st apron.
I'm wondering if the pick compensation is fair. What do people think the compensation might be?
Would Wiz value Vando as a young wing over Vincent or no value add there?

I don't think they can aggregate with JV yet, if they can move him at all, but it's definitely something the Wizards should do.

Yes I forgot to mention that. This trade would happen in September. A simple trade of Vincent+SRPs for Val could happen right now but I think a delay could be due to aggregation with Brogdon.

Isn’t Val not tradeable until December 15th?
In regards to OP I may push for Vando instead of Vincent if I’m Washington but if that is a deal breaker I’d probably do OP’s version.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

I thought it was 2 months after he was acquired into an exception. Maybe I'm wrong.

Is Brogdon an upgrade on DLO? They seem like the same tier of player with DLO far more likely to be healthy and available throughout the season.

For the regular season and taking his continuity and playing in a contract year into account i'd say D'Lo will be the better player. But I think they might trust Brogdon more in a playoff-setting.

Well Brogdon never forgot to check in to a game and made his team play 4 on 5.

December 15. Even though he was a sign and trade and into an exception, a sign and trade is considered a singular transaction (if the trade doesn’t happen at the same time, the signing is immediately voided, etc), so the trade restrictions are considered the same as if he signed directly with Washington.

Re: Wizards-Lakers
I’d want more value for WAS unless it’s a part of other moves for Wash. WAS is in a long rebuild; Will LA ever be bad enough for that pick swap to have any value? Even after Lebron retires, LAL is one of those teams that’s always on the hunt for the next star signing, so there’s a good chance they’re still better than WAS in 4 years. The LA role players offered would probably just take minutes from the young core, and Brogdon and Valunciunas can probably get a better return than this around the deadline.

Re: Wizards-Lakers
Can you do a conditional pick swap? IF it doesn't swap the first year, then they get the pick swap the next year, if not 2 2nds sort of thing?

Maybe find a 3rd team to take some pieces and create a 3 way swap? Like WAS gets most favorable of ___’s pick, LAL pick, and WAS pick, LA takes least favorable.
Or find a way to include Poole maybe? Actually think Poole would be re-energized playing next to a star in a big city, with less focus on him and something to play for. Wouldn’t mind swapping him out for D-Lo, as Bub develops.

picks would be going the other way then if Poole is outgoing (ie washington owes pick(s))

Touché.
Idk. LA is gonna deff have to add value to the original deal for it to make sense for WAS though. They need picks and/or players w/ upside. Not role players with no positional need who would take roster spots and minutes from young players w upside.

Re: Wizards-Lakers
I don’t think the Russell/Brogdon swap is worth much to LAL.. Would just leave that out and get Jonas..
Poole is still owed 95 million dollars..
With Poole I think it looks like;
Vincent, Vandy, Rui for Poole; smaller salaries.
And LAL probably still doesn’t do it because they need at least one of Rui/Vandy… and unless the small salaries are useful bodies LAL likely turns it down anyways..
But without all three of those contracts going out, I think there’s no version of Poole that makes sense for LAL. He’s one of the least likely to be traded players in the league imho.

I don't think so but could just make it 3 SRPs from the outset.

Re: Wizards-Lakers
Given that Brogdon can't stay healthy, I can't imagine that there's going to be much interest in adding anything to turn Russell into Brogdon on behalf of the Lakers. And LeBron was reportedly willing to take a paycut to sign Jonas V in FA, and that didn't happen so I'd venture a guess the Lakers aren't very interested in Jonas V.

Washington shouldn't send picks to dump Poole. They are going to be fuil of low value players for duration of his contract so no problem eating the bad salary and he's young enough to rehap value. He also has a rep as a gym rat and hard worker. But mainly, they need picks. Most of their players won't still be there in 3 years. They don't need to win now, they need to accumulate talent.
