Lakers interested in Brown

Post#1 » by Snappycoocoo » Thu Jul 25, 2024 9:52 pm

According to NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints , the Los Angeles Lakers are still interested in trading for Toronto Raptors guard Bruce Brown.

The Lakers tried to acquire Brown at the 2024 NBA trade deadline.

The Raptors picked up Brown’s 2024-25 team option and are trying to trade him.

“Speaking of the Raptors, they continue to explore the market for interest in veteran swingman Bruce Brown, who is entering the final year of his contract at $23 million,” Siegel reported. “Brown is highly regarded around the league for his positional versatility as well as his ability to make winning plays that don’t always show up in the stats. The 27-year-old held a big role during the Denver Nuggets’ championship run in 2023, and his expiring contract will be appealing to several playoff-contending franchises.

Anytime u hear the Lakers are interested in a player u almost want to roll your eyes. They're always interested in everyone, its just a way to keep conversations rolling around the leagues most popular team. Half the time they have no avenue to even acquire said player.

It would be dumb for them to give up a 1st for Brown, their scraps prolly don't get it done for the raps and it seems like bad value for Dlo

One of the few times they might actually pull off a trade for someone they're interested in lol

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

At that price point the Raptors can just get Russel, filler in bold, and Lakers 1st and 2nd and not involve anyone else. Flip Russel, Reddish, woods later or buy them out.

lakers are over the 2nd apron so they can't combine salaries. they can only send out 1 player at a time.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this is false. Lebron took a 3 mill paycut to keep them under second apron....

This isn't bad at all actually. This only works if Orlando actually likes Dlo, he does do the things they need tho.

Brown is trash if there was any interest he would have been gone for a 2025 late 1st.

The hell is even the point of this trade lol. But a 2029 unprotected is legit. The rest of the crap though....

Brown isn't trash. The hyperbole is too much. He's still a rotation player on a good team.
