Not because it's true (it's not), but because I think we're starting to see the generation that grew up watching Skip Bayless & Stephen A. Smith as well as ESPN turning to hot takes and entertainment. More kids now will have hot takes, farm for engagment, and want to debate everything. The new generation of sports fans are products of the worst versions of ESPN and social media. They'll say whatever is controversial and say anything for likes.

I think and 1s per post would be really the only solid quantitative stat available here.

The posts before around 2013 or so would have to be left off that calculation. Nobody ever used the feature until the site started keeping a tally next to your username

jayjaysee is the GOAT, but he doesn't post on the GB afaik. drza was an OG legend but doesn't post here any more.

Nuntious is a great poster on a variety of boards here. I find myself on a number of topics posting something, then reading them, and realized I should have just given an and 1 and been done with it lol.

Dirk amuses the hell out of me.

Mickey Davis is the mod the rest of us dream of growing into

plus a bunch more of you guys who make this place great. Just trying to shout a few guys including a couple who hadn't been mentioned yet somehow.
